We had the pleasure of meeting our next guest, Todd Osbern, during our travel from Little Rock to Springfield, Missouri. Our interview took place at his mom's house, giving it a warm and inviting atmosphere. Growing up with two sisters, a brother, and his parents, Todd spent a significant amount of time in Southern California during his childhood. He always had a creative side, a desire to be the center of attention, and a knack for making people smile. It was in high school that Todd discovered his passion for rapping, which served as his introduction to the world of entertainment.
However, his college years took a different turn. His partying and excessive drinking led to financial difficulties, as his father cut off his financial support. Todd found himself working at a video rental store for three years, which became a turning point in his life. Determined to make a change, he went back to school, majoring in psychology. This time, he took his studies seriously, earning excellent grades and navigating his way through student loans and financial independence. The jar prompts Todd to reflect on his journey through the field of psychology and the various roles he has held within the field.
Throughout his life, Todd has also been passionate about playing guitar and performing in bands. His songwriting skills developed from his love for poetry, and he shares how he had to adapt his writing style to suit the musical realm. Todd finds immense joy in songwriting and live performances, cherishing the connection he makes with his audience.
Tragedy struck when Todd's father was diagnosed with ALS. Witnessing the slow progression of the disease deeply affected him, but it also brought his family closer together. Before his father's passing, Todd was able to achieve significant milestones, including graduating from school and performing on stage, creating cherished memories that he holds dear.
Now, it is Todd's daughter, Charlie, who holds a special place in his life. She has filled his world with love and purpose, and Todd's experiences have prepared him to be a devoted and caring father. As he explores the jar, his love for his daughter shines through, and he shares insightful perspectives on raising her. Join us as Todd embraces the jar, delving into his life's experiences and the transformative journey he has embarked on.
