Week 31: P is for Perseverance of the Saints
The Isaiah 43 Podcast
08/25/23 • 25 min
Our study of the Reformed doctrine of T.U.L.I.P. comes to an end as we examine the final letter in the acrostic: P for Perseverance of the Saints. We will explore what theologians like R.C. Sproul and Charles H. Spurgeon have had to say about this teaching. From there, we will dive into common objections against the Perseverance of the Saints as well as the rebuttals to these objections through the works of people like Dr. James White and John MacArthur. Then, of course, none of this truly matters if we do not have the Scriptures to back up the claims made for the Reformed position, so naturally, we will move to what the Holy Scriptures have to say and how they support the teaching.
We hope you have enjoyed this bi-weekly study of the doctrine of T.U.L.I.P.! If you have then please let us know. You can contact us at [email protected] or leave your thoughts, opinions, and reviews on whatever streaming platform you use to listen to these episodes. It would help to create more episodes and future content you enjoy!

Week 32: Sex and Porneia
The Isaiah 43 Podcast
09/01/23 • 26 min
This episode contains conversations about very mature topics. Parents and guardians are warned to exercise caution when allowing younger viewers to listen.
We begin our monthly journey into the topic of sin with this apologetics week. In this episode, we explore the sin of sexual immorality. This sin has affected our lives far more than we may realize. It has pierced the church and the lives of those in it more than anyone wants to admit. We must face this struggle head-on. That is why we will discuss the topic this apologetics week and offer Biblical solutions to avoid giving in to sexual temptation.
- We primarily focus on three Scripture passages for our readings this week. First, we read about Joseph's flee from temptation in Genesis 39. Second, we read about the writer of Proverbs observing the young man going somewhere he shouldn't in Proverbs 7. Lastly, we learn who will not inherit the Kingdom of God and what we must do to enter it in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

Week 35: What are modern-day idols?
The Isaiah 43 Podcast
09/22/23 • 15 min
As we wrap up our discussion on sin for the month of September, we come to the ultimate question this Bible study week: What are modern-day idols? Many people automatically think of pagan temples and shrines such as those in Buddhism, Shintoism, Hinduism, or other similar religions. Yet, there is a vast and extensive idol worship that is happening today even in the lives of some Christian believers. We will journey through Scripture to see how God's Word defines an idol and how Christians should react to these modern-day idols that take us away from focusing on God.
Our Scripture readings for today's episode include:
- Luke 17:22-30
- Romans 1:18-27
- Colossians 3:5-10
- 1 John 5: 20, 21
PLEASE REMEMBER: There have been some technical difficulties with our previous email address. We are still working to resolve the problem. Thank you for your patience with us as we navigate through this situation. We hope that a solution will be available in the coming weeks.

Week 36: Special Guest #3!
The Isaiah 43 Podcast
09/29/23 • 25 min
We welcome our third special guest onto the show this week - Mr. Abraham! He joins us today as we examine Reformed theology, the importance of a proper understanding of Ephesians 1, and the doctrine of predestination In our discussion. we explore the sovereignty of God, why understanding Ephesians 1 is critical to a Christian's life, and what people with different viewpoints have to say about the passage. Predestination is difficult, but by examining it through the clarity of God's Word, we learn that it is crucial to understanding who God is.
I want to thank my good friend, Mr. Abraham, for joining us today to discuss this vital topic.
We look forward to seeing you again next Friday as we begin a new Bible study week!

Week 37: Attributes of God
The Isaiah 43 Podcast
10/06/23 • 14 min
Many pastors, priests, and theologians have tried to pinpoint certain attributes or characteristics of God. There are so many that could be found in Scripture that we can not possibly be limited to the ones in this podcast episode, yet I believe that when God speaks, we must listen. Therefore, God perfectly outlines His character and attributes in our Scripture readings today. We will examine the text and pull seven attributes of God as He speaks to Moses.
Our Scripture reading this week is taken from Exodus 34: 6, 7 from the ESV or English Standard Version
