Like Father Like Son
03/10/25 • 47 min
Jesus isn’t just a good teacher. He isn’t just a miracle worker. He is the Son of God, carrying the full power of Heaven and Hell in His hands.
In John 5, Jesus makes it clear—He only does what the Father does. If you love God, you can’t ignore Jesus. To honor the Father, you must honor the Son. The heartbeat of the universe isn’t chaos, politics, or self-preservation—it’s a Father who loves His Son, and through Him, gives life to the world.
For parents dedicating their children today, this truth is massive. You’re not just raising kids—you’re raising disciples. Faith isn’t inherited; it’s demonstrated. Your children will fear the God you fear and ignore the God you ignore.
And here’s the best news: Jesus isn’t just coming to raise the dead at the end of time—He’s raising people to life today. Have you blown it? Feel spiritually lifeless? Jesus can awaken what’s dead in you right now.

The Sad Things Come Untrue
In a world as dark and broken as ours, it can feel like the light will never break through. But in John 5, we see a moment where it does.
Jesus enters a scene of deep sadness—a pool where the broken, sick, and hopeless gather, waiting for a miracle that never seems to come. He finds a man who’s been paralyzed for 38 years and asks a shocking question: “Do you want to be healed?” It’s not just about physical healing—it’s about breaking free from the prison of hopelessness, bitterness, and self-pity.
When Jesus heals him, it disrupts more than just his body—it upends the rigid, rule-bound religion of the day. Because Jesus doesn’t fit neatly into our categories. He is still willing to break the rules, the expectations, and even our doubts to bring real healing.
Are there areas in your life where you’ve stopped believing Jesus can heal? Maybe today, He’s asking you the same question: Do you want to be healed?

Re-Planting The Garden Church
Church isn’t a spectator sport. Following Jesus isn’t about sitting on the sidelines—it’s about stepping into the mission.
In Matthew 28, Jesus gives His disciples a clear command: Go. Make disciples. Baptize. Teach. This isn’t just a task for pastors, leaders, or church planters—it’s the call for every believer.
As The Garden moves into a new building, we’re not just changing locations—we’re re-planting the church with a new sense of urgency and purpose. This is an opportunity for all of us to shift from consumer to contributor, from spectator to servant.
The Holy Spirit doesn’t empower spectators—He empowers servants. The move of God we’re stepping into is rare, and we all get to be part of it. So the question isn’t if you’ll engage in the mission—it’s how.
Are you ready to log in? To go all in? To raise up the next generation on mission? Because the mission starts now.
