The Film Scene with Illeana Douglas

TODAY: Chris Bergoch, American screenwriter and producer. Bergoch began writing in 2012, having written the screenplay for the critically acclaimed independent drama film Starlet. Bergoch continued writing, returning for the also critically acclaimed 2015 drama Tangerine, directed by Sean Baker. He received a nomination from the San Francisco Film Critics Circle for Best Original Screenplay, but didn't win. In 2017, he teamed up with Baker again to write and produce The Florida Project, starring Willem Dafoe. The film was also acclaimed by critics, and Bergoch and Baker received a Saturn award nomination for Best Original Screenplay for the film.

TODAY: Steven Rogers, American screenwriter from Seattle, Washington. Rogers began his career in screenwriting with the 1998 film Hope Floats, a drama starring Sandra Bullock. Since then, Rogers has written a handful of feature films including the romance film PS I Love You, and the Christmas comedy-drama Love the Coopers. Most recently, he was the screenwriter for the 2017 biographical drama film I, Tonya, starring Margot Robbie. TODAY: Michael John McKean, American actor, comedian, and musician, known for a variety of roles played since the 1970s. McKean’s first big role was playing annoying neighbor Lenny Kosnowski on the sitcom Laverne & Shirley.
