The Faeries of Birchover Wood - Book 1 - The Bad

On a glorious sunny day, Solomon decides to venture out into the wood at the back of his house. All was going well until he ventures to far away from his house and loses his direction. Lost and confused, he starts to make a crying sound only to see something fly towards him. "A Faery!" Solomon exclaims. Caitlin helps Solomon get home and feels that she will see him again. Not far from them, a pair of eyes was watching them. Planning on how to use the faeries and the boy to help set the Bad free.

Dave,Sarah and Solomon have moved into their new home, and it isn't long before Solomon finds something that belongs to a faery. Sup Sup Rose after dscovering a crack on the tree that holds the bad, races back to find Elder Perennial Swallowtail. After telling him what he had found, a meeting is arranged and every faery is invited. The elders representing the five elements of Earth also turn up.

Newspapers and TV news start to report sightings of strange beasts roaming the land and in the sky. People talking about dragons, trolls and other mythical beasts.

The storm that Elder Perennial Swallowtail has longed feared comes. During the night of the storm, the oak tree that holds the Bad, is struck by lightening.

The oak tree is in a terrible condition and so all the faeries try to seal the hole on the damaged tree by chanting a mythical song.

Winnie, Dave and Solomon all see the strike. Dave promises to take Solomon to the tree and see what has happened.

It's now only a matter of time the Bad will escape.
