This week we meet up with BJJ Black Belt, MMA Fighter and Coach Brian McLaughlin. Brian is the owner and head instructor of Precision Boxing and MMA and travels to a few other gyms to coach some high level MMA fighters. We sit down with Brian at Up Top Martial Arts so we get a little guest action from Yanni as well. You might want to grab a notebook for this episode, we dive deep into some thoughts on the realism of BJJ and positions that could truly end a fight. You will also hear about competing and coaching in Japan, and some fight organizations Brian has had the experience to work with. He has an amazing fight IQ and even made us rethink some of the rules we wanted to add to modern competition. Sit back and enjoy this one and all these thoughts on the realism of BJJ.
You can find Brian at his gym http://www.precisionmixedmartialarts.com/

This week we meet up and talk about alot since we haven’t recorded in a few weeks. We talk about growth, mindset and goals for 2021. Ed is really transforming into something none of us have seen before and he’s motivated to become even better where Dave just wants to shake the “Ed” off and get back to where he was. Have they completely switched places? Will it stay like this or can they both push each other to be better? I guess you will have to keep listening to find out.

08/24/20 • 93 min

This week due to a cancellation we are doing our recap 1 week early. Dave is not upset at this as he wants more podcasts with co-host Ed, while Ed thinks Dave just sucks at his job. The boys sit down and have some fun discussing the past 8 guests and some future plans for the podcast. Ed also makes a bit more of a fool of himself since he was drinking some girly alcoholic beverages. As always when these to are together its like oil and water so sit back and enjoy another episode with Ed and Dave.

He also has more gyms on the way and almost a dozen affiliates. It was great catching up with our old friend and we were simply amazed at the thought process he uses in a lot of his training, most importantly getting kids involved in BJJ.
