05/08/24 • 36 min

The Echo Research Podcast

In this episode, business journalist and Radio 4 presenter Matthew Gwyther is joined by chair, Chapter Zero director and stubbornly optimistic environmentalist - Susan Hooper.
Susan is a Director of Chapter Zero, an organisation dedicated to providing education, insight and support on climate change to Non-Executive Board Directors and Chairs. She is Chair of Caresourcer.com, EBS (Enhanced Biomass Sequestration), and sits on the Boards of Uber UK, The Rank Group plc (Chair of the Safer Gambling Committee) and Affinity Water Ltd. (Chair of Remuneration Committee). Susan is also actively involved in several start-ups in property, carbon capture and medical technology.
Together, Susan and Matthew discuss the critical future of sustainability, ESG and net zero, and how it is being addressed in both the boardroom and in the field.
They tackle some crucial topics in this episode, not shying away from the nitty gritty of what it will take to truly effect change on an environmental and corporate level.
