Fayette Hauser is author of the book “The Cocokettes: Acid Drag And Sexual Anarchy”. Fayette was a founding member, and her book chronicles the wildly gender-bending 1960’s San Francisco theatrical group whose existence spawned disco star Sylvester and informed everyone from John Waters to RuPaul. Fayette’s been involved in every countercultural youth movement that’s occurred in the past fifty years- her life story is wild that this is the second of two episodes.She was a beatnik teenager in Greenwich Village, a hippie free spirit in Haight- Ashbury and in the late 1970’s was an integral part of both Manhattan’s Lower East Side punk scene and the Los Angeles punk scene, living with legendary LA band The Screamers. In this episode, hostess Pleasant Gehman swap anecdotes about the CBGB in the mid-1970’s, where Blondie and The Ramones both opened for Fayette’s underground drag theater. They discuss the early days of punk rock pioneering on The Bowery, living at the Screamers’ extremely haunted “Wilton Hilton” and their incredible live shows, plus Dangerhouse Records, Black Randy, The Germs, and Francisco sensations The Avengers...not to mention what it was like dating Dee Dee Ramone

You may have heard him doing voiceovers in a number of cartoons and not even realized it was him. Multi faceted and uber-talented Abby Travis is a musician, singer, songwriter and actress, whose music career began in the 1986 as bassist for the SST band The Love Dolls and is still going strong. She’s played and sang with The Go-Go’s, Cher, The Eagles of Death Metal, The Bangles, Beck, Masters Of Reality, KMFDM, Elastica and many more. She’s released four solo albums, and is currently one half of the brutalist artcore duo Sumo Princess, with drummer Gene Trautman, who, like Abby has played with EODM, as well as Queens of The Stoneage and Mark Lanegan. Hostess Pleasant Gehman and Abby have been friends since the early 1980’s. In this episode, they discuss some of the many days and nights of debauchery they shared from the Hollywood punk scene in early 1980’s and onwards. Among other topics: anecdotes about Redd Kross, Russ Meyers and drag queen dive bars, insane stories from spending Elvis Week 1999 in Memphis with El Vez, The Mexican Elvis; drug-soaked nights on tour with The Butthole Surfers, and Abby’s performances with Spinal Tap... yes indeed, you read that correctly

Guy Furrow, aka Miss Guy is a multi-talented rock’n’roll legend: singer for the acclaimed punk/glam band The Toilet Boys, deejay, music producer, songwriter photographer and makeup artist. Born in Southern California, he came of age and hit his creative stride in the New York City rock scene when it was still something to be wildly excited about. He became fast friends and collaborators with his mentors Deborah Harry and Boy George; his duets with both can be heard in this episode. The Toilet Boys toured North America, Europe and Asia with The Ramones, Motorhead, The Damned, Joan Jett, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more. As a deejay, he’s spun worldwide, everywhere from Manhattan clubs to high fashion shows and even art museums. Guy’s photography is beyond-especially since so many of his subjects are rock stars and glamorous drag queens. In this episode, Miss Guy and hostess Pleasant Gehman talk about New York City in the 90’s: wild times and the notorious club/party Squeeze Box; his wildest tour stories, spirit communication in dreams.
