Podcaster Q&A

Tell us about yourself – what is your background?

Rock is Lit takes listeners on a quest to find the best rock novels and explore the propulsive energy and raw power of these stories about music, the people who make it, and the characters who love it. In each episode, host Christy Alexander Hallberg, author of the award-winning rock novel 'Searching for Jimmy Page', interviews authors about craft and the musical inspiration behind their work, then brings in music experts in separate segments to add real-world context to the bands in the novels.

Why did you get into podcasting?

I was a guest on many, many podcasts when my novel, 'Searching for Jimmy Page', was published in late 2021, and I noticed that while there are many podcasts that feature nonfiction books about music and musicians, there were no podcasts devoted to rock novels--the convergence of fiction and music. With Christian Swain and Peter Ferioli, creators of Pantheon Podcast Network, I developed the first and only podcast on rock novels, Rock is Lit, on the Pantheon Podcast Network.

How can your listeners support your show?

Listeners can support Rock is Lit by subscribing to the show, telling their friends about it, posting about it on social media, and posting ratings and comments here on Goodpods and on other outlets. Gifts to the tip jar are also very, very appreciated, as it takes time and money to create a quality podcast.
