TN Panel Vs IPS Screens for Graphic Design
TN Panels Vs IPS Screens for Graphic Design, which screen is better? I receive a lot of questions every day about screen quality and which screen is better so I wanted to put out a video. ⏩ Computers below with TN and IPS screens to choose from... TN Screen Laptops ► MSI GS65 Stealth Thin ( https://amzn.to/2PfBopk ) ► MSI GE63 Raider ( https://amzn.to/2PExztv ) ► Asus TUF FX504GD ( https://amzn.to/2PN7hVI ) IPS Screen Laptops ► Dell XPS 15 ( https://amzn.to/2APTk1j ) ► Gigabyte Aero 15 ( https://amzn.to/2OsDehj ) ► HP Omen ( https://amzn.to/2yTyblc ) ► MacBook Pro ( https://amzn.to/2Da347M ) ► Check your current Computer: ( https://www.notebookcheck.net/ ► Video Mention about Color Quality ( https://youtu.be/zvYXaMHzwc8 ) If you are specifically interested in WHAT IS THE BEST SCREEN FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN? Are TN Panel screens really THAT BAD? Then you are in the right place. In this post, I am going to talk about TN Panels, IPS Screens, PLS Screens, and VA Screens. I am going to talk through the practical steps to buying the right screen for you. So sit back, and enjoy some tech talk on today's video/post. The first thing I want to say is that all screens have their intended uses. So that means that one screen is not BETTER than another, but it may, in fact, be better suited for a specific person and their use of the screen. So please pay close attention as we are going through the list of screens and screen types. 1. TN Panel The first screen I want to talk about is the TN Panel screen which stands for Twisted Nematic. These screens are low weight, low cost to produce, and lower power consumption. These three aspects make this screen a prime choice for nearly every computer producer. They hit all of the desires of your average consumer. 2. IPS Screens In-Plane Switching (or IPS) screens are the screens that will give you deep blacks and bright colors and you are going to get crisp colors from whatever angle you view the screen. Please note that these screens cost more to produce, they will drain more power from your computer and they are less responsive than TN Panel screens. Now, how accurate are these IPS screens. Are they 100% color accurate. let's talk about it quickly. Color accuracy from your screen to say a website, ebook, or any other digital asset is going to be very accurate from an IPS screen that is HD or 4k. If you are looking to print a design and you are expecting 100% color accuracy you may find that you are not seeing the color accuracy you desire... Why?! There are major differences between screen-based colors which are RGB (Red-Green-Blue) and printed colors which are CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Key). 3. PLS Screen The PLS (Plane to Line Switching) is basically Samsung's version of the IPS screen. PLS screens are known to be a little bit brighter by about 10% and they are going to cost about 15% more to produce. So if you see your computer has a PLS screen rather than an IPS screen, you are in good hands. 4. VA Screens The last screen type we are going to talk about is the VA (Vertical Alignment) screen. This screen is a happy medium between the TN Panels and the IPS. Basically, it will not be as bright as the IPS screen but it will save power like the TN Panel. It will not save AS MUCH power as the TN Panel, but it won't be a power drain like the IPS. This screen is a great middle of the road for someone who wants GOOD color quality and GOOD performance. In conclusion, all of these screen choices are good, but the question is which screen is best for you! That, my friend, is your choice! it is all up to what fits your needs best. I have people ask a lot of question about graphic design budget laptops. So in this video, I am going to walk through a few of the following questions. Best Budget Laptop for Designers Best Budget Laptop for Graphic designers Budget Laptop for Graphic Design Graphic Design Laptop Under 1000 How to pick a good budget laptop for graphic design Good budget laptop for graphic design I have run numerous benchmark tests with this laptop and I am super impressed by the performance it puts out. Alright, let’s jump into the content and talk about what makes this laptop a fantastic choice for your graphic design needs. Performance truly is key when selecting the best budget laptop for graphic design and in this video, I will talk about a few major components. Usability, performance, and build quality. Here is a Sneak Peek at those benchmark tests: - Exporting a 9 minute 4k Video with Premiere Pro - Dell XPS 15 - 22:03.85 - Temperature: 168 Degrees - CPU Usage: 20% CUK Barebones W650 - 9:34.1 - Temperature: 123 Degrees - CPU Usage: 33% - Saving a 4.6GB file from RAW to JPG - Dell XPS 15 - 49.6 CUK Barebones W650 - 56.35 - Read and Write Speeds - Dell XPS 15 - Write 683 MB/s - Read 1543 MB/s CUK W650 - Write 1408 MB/s - Read 869 MB/s The last thing I want to talk about is the build quality. You truly need to compare Apples to Apples. I am impressed with the assembly and choice of materials for this computer. One BIG feature that I find extremely suitable for graphic design from a performance standpoint is the thick profile. This allows for maximum breathing room for the fans and CPU to stay cool and run at peak performance. ------- Support My Channel With Patreon! ►►► ( https://www.patreon.com/bengkaiser ) SOCIAL Twitter ► @bengkaiser Facebook ►/bengkaiser Instagram ►@bengkaiser MY FAVORITE GEAR: (affiliate links) Camera ► http://amzn.to/2BWvE9o CamStand ► http://amzn.to/2BWsv9M Compute ► http://amzn.to/2zPeLvs Mouse ► http://amzn.to/2C0T9hq TubeBuddy ► https://www.tubebuddy.com/bengkaiser Host Gator ► http://bit.ly/2CBonPO ( Get 60% off Website Hosting with the link ) DISCLAIMER: ALL LINKS IN DESCRIPTION ARE AFFILIATE LINKS Thanks for Supporting Our Channel!
