The Magic Question I Ask Myself to Experience Less Guilt
The Connected Mom Life
02/06/23 • 23 min
The other day I found myself having all of the “should” thoughts... “I should call my parents, actually read the stack of books on my night stand, clean the dishwasher filter, etc.” Sometimes “shoulds” can be helpful nudges, and other times, they can load us up with unnecessary guilt. Recently I’ve been asking myself a question when I think I “should” do something that is helping me gain greater clarity on my next step, and release guilt if in fact I don’t have the capacity to do the thing my brain thinks I should do. My hope is this question might prove helpful for you too!

Ep 108: A Framework for Friendship (Who Knew!?) with Alex Alexander
The Connected Mom Life
02/06/24 • 42 min
Part of why friendship in adulthood can feel so tricky is because we don’t have any shared language to discuss what might be happening in (and to) our relationships as we navigate different seasons of life. In this episode, I’m joined by Alex Alexander, who is sharing with us a framework she has designed to give us exactly what we’ve been missing in our adult friendships: a clear way to think about and experience them so we can stop overthinking and assigning untrue stories, and start enjoying more of the authentic, life-giving connections we crave.
