Episode 128: Conflict Resolution Through Peace Building with Jeremy Pollack
On this amazing episode of The Conejo Podcast we hear the story of when Jeremy was kidnapped in college. Some punks grabbed him, threw him into a car, and intended to kill him as part of a gang initiation. He thankfully escaped by jumping from the car, going 35 mph by the way, but it’s what came after that experience that moved Jeremy for the rest of his life.
He became riveted with curiosity and fascination by the fact that in the face of imminent death, he entered a state of not being afraid. Instead everything become very clear, very fast.
This curiosity led him to his life and career passion of human conflict and techniques to aid in the resolution of the many conflicts we humans have in our lives.
Not only personal individual conflicts, but interpersonal conflicts between co-workers and corporate managers.
Listen in. Amazing stuff.

Episode 130: How Eddie Lorin Transforms Neglected Properties Into Thriving Communities
Eddie Lorin’s father passed away when he was only 10 months old and his mother later when he was 17 years old, just leaving for college.
His mother raised him and his 3 brothers alone, where they lived in a small home together, with little means. His mother always told them “you can be poor, but you have to be clean.”
When Eddie entered the world many years ago, he had the vision and dedicated himself to transforming neglected apartment properties into amazing thriving communities, which the residents can be proud to live in.
Now a 30 year vet in the industry, Eddie’s group at Strategic Realty Capital purchases residential properties that are primarily rented by “workforce housing” folks that make a certain percentage of the medium income in that area. They then bring amazing amenities to the property, resort style pools, fitness centers, community gathering areas, and fixes any problems at the property.
And they don’t stop there.
Eddie and his wife Jane formed a non-profit company called Healthy Apartment Property Initiative (HAPI), which brings various health and wellness programs to the residents of the community. Teaching how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Reach out to Eddie with any questions or opportunities here.
