9: Our talks continue in part 2; Club Champion and a MyGolfSpy Rant
07/11/19 • 53 min
Episode 9 - July 11th, 2019 -
The show goes on with some Club Champion talks and MyGolfSpy The second part to episode 7 opens up with our first Voice Mail message. It’s a creepy one. Then we dive back into the Stability Putter and the new flat stick from TRU2. Club Champion and getting fit correctly Both of us have spent a little time at the new Las Vegas Club Champion, and we are both fans of what they are doing there. The fitting process can be an uneasy experience if it’s not done correctly and we talk about why we like Club Champion. We also offer our insights on what to look for in a fitting. Getting fit is tops on our list of things you need to consider if you are looking to improve as a player. MyGolfSpy Rant However, what gets the boat rocking is Ryan’s take on MyGolfSpy. We cover our thoughts on what’s taking place with them, and that leads us to talk about golf balls. We cover MGS and their recent series about the findings in cut open golf balls and why we think what’s happing with this “tactic” may not be for all the right reasons. Please be reminded that this is our opinion and one of the reasons we wanted to start the podcast, to share our stories and opinions. The MGS topic led us into talking about our Golf Ball Sponsor over at The Breakfast Ball, Wilson Staff. 8: The Open, Matthew Wolff and Stability Putter
Episode 8 - July 10th, 2019 -
The Last Major It is almost here, the last Major of the season. With it, just around the corner, we got in some first thoughts about the tournament's return to Ireland. Will Rory win a Major in Ireland? Will Koepka add another to his growing list of Majors? Should you chastise anyone who calls it “The British Open” and what’s up with ESPN. Matthew Wolff is setting himself up to be a star We then got very long-winded on the new star on the PGA Tour, although he’s been making a name for himself for a few years now, Matthew Wolff. Last week's winner has been a huge topic around the golfing world, and we chime in with our thoughts and question is the exemption to the “young guns” good for the sport. We interrupt this podcast Nothing can ruin the proper flow of a show like “technical difficulties.” We were getting to dive into the Stability Shaft when an unforeseen incident took place. After we “fixed” the issues we picked up the episode again and went on to talk for another 50 minutes. So instead of creating one, very long podcast, we have split this up into two parts. The Stability Shaft conversation picks up in part 2 along with some other topics you will not want to miss. Let’s say Ryan has a considerable soapbox and he’s not scared to get on top of it and voice his opinions. It’s excellent golf talk! 10: Logan Olson and Corey Paul
Episode 10 - July 17th, 2021 -
We are so excited to bring this interview to all of you. Both of us are fans of Corey Paul and Logan Olson's work. We’re not just fanboys, though; we’re owners as well. Ryan has several pieces from Corey’s Wedge and Iron collections, and he also has an Olson Manufacturing putter. And, Matt has two putters from Olson Manufacturing, most notably the VEGAS58 Putter Logan crafted earlier this year. Getting to know these two incredible craftsmen We’re familiar with the backstory of how both brands came to be, but it was fun to listen to them talk about their passion. Corey and Logan have very different ways in how they came to be in this industry, and it was awesome to hear them tell their stories. Make sure you listen to what they are saying. They nailed so many analogies throughout the episode; it was hard to keep track! CPFA and Olson Manufacturing Collaborations Sunday, the dynamic duo, will release another collaboration on the Corey Paul Functional Art website. From the photos we’ve seen on their Instagram accounts, it looks like it’s going to be another fantastic release, and we’re pumped to see it hit the site. Ryan’s Easter Eggs, Of course, Mr. Giveaway was at it again. Stay tuned to the end to hear what you need to do to grab yourself some free swag.
