The Carnivore Diet with Casey Ruff
01/24/23 • 90 min
In this episode of The Pain ChangerTM podcast, Casey Ruff joined me to talk about the carnivore diet. Casey has been a certified personal trainer since 2007. He successfully ran a metabolic testing program for a large gym and oversaw 13 programs in the west region.
He has multiple certifications as a personal trainer, lifestyle coach, and performance enhancement specialist. With his nutrition coaching certifications, he specializes in low-carbohydrate lifestyles, including ketogenic and carnivore diets. He has helped thousands of clients over fourteen years learn how to achieve their best lifestyle through movement, lifestyle management, and proper diet.
Together with Bethany, they created Boundless Body LLC during the 2020 pandemic. He is the host of two podcasts, Boundless Body Radio, and The How To Make a Podcast Podcast. He lives in South Jordan, Utah, with his wife Bethany, and their two dogs Rex and Tucker and their cat Lily. In his free time, he loves to cycle, play hockey, and paddleboard.
This diet was completely counterintuitive to me, and Casey clearly has the education to be able to teach you about this diet...so I had to know more! Casey makes it really easy to understand the science behind it, and he did a great job of answering the ethical questions that come up with a 100% animal based diet, as well as sharing experiences he’s seen with clients reporting fewer body aches on the carnivore diet. I’ve even started to follow this diet myself and I share my results on this show. The one result I totally forgot to share, because my focus was on health, not weight...was that I lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks!!!!!!In this episode, you will learn:
- The science behind the carnivore diet and how your body adapts to the absence of plants
- The reason cold cereal was invented - you will be shocked
- How sustainable and ethical the carnivore diet can be
- My own results and observations the first 2 weeks of the diet
If you loved this episode and you got a lot out of it, leave a review and share your biggest takeaway with me. And while you've got your phone out, make sure to follow me on Instagram @coachktdubs for more quick tips and tricks on how to change your experience with pain.Where to find Casey:

Is Rejection Real?
In this episode of The Pain ChangerTM podcast, I’m diving into a fear of rejection that I found within a pesky shoulder issue that’s been nagging me for years. As I examined this fear within life...I couldn’t unsee all the places it was affecting me: in business. In relationships.
Fear of rejection was keeping me small, and scared. So I did a Cognomovement session after recording the first part of this episode...to compare how I felt before and after. I had NO idea whether I would be able to delete a layer in one session or not...but I was willing to try.
In this case...I took away a massive layer of fear of rejection, and immediately things shifted in my business and relationship, within minutes. It was amazing! I walked away really wondering whether rejection is even a real thing. Are we being rejected...or does rejection actually have nothing to do with us??In this episode, you will learn:
- How fear of rejection keeps us stuck, it keeps us small and inside our box.
- Why it is the cock blocker of dreams
- Ways it can show up as physical pain in the body
- How fear of rejection keeps us from stepping into our power and being our true authentic selves

Mechanical vs Biopsychosocial Aspects of Pain with David Jeter
In this week’s episode of The Pain Changer, physical therapist David Jeter joined me to talk about the mechanical aspects of pain vs the biopsychosocial aspects of pain.
Dave founded Acceleration Physical Therapy in Spokane, WA in 2007, and specializes in orthopedic manual physical therapy. He loves to get outside with all of the varieties of activities in the Pacific Northwest. Physical therapy offers Dave a way to make an impact on a patient's life by improving mobility and dynamic stability. Movement is life.
Dave is a down-to-earth and very perceptive physical therapist. In speaking to him, it’s clear that he loves what he does, and he’s very in tune with his patients. One of the things he shared was that when he can help to lower the pain of someone who has a chronic condition, that’s the best feeling for him.In this episode, you will learn:
- About mechanical vs biopsychosocial aspects of pain
- How fear and pain play together and how he sees that in his practice
- Various subconscious expressions of pain
