The Bus Driver Experience
Brandon Reese
Imagine what it would be like to travel the world, meet the most amazing people on the road, learn from them and gain an incredible perspective about how they live.
Now imagine being able to do that from your home.
I created The Bus Driver Experience as a way to gain a new perspective from the unique lives of other people - Olympic athletes, monks, porn stars - to not just learn, but EXPERIENCE what it’s like to be in their shoes for a day.
And do it in a way unlike how every other travel/interview show does it. Most other shows merely talk with these individuals.
But talking with these people isn’t enough for me.
I want to live their unique story. To understand not only what they go through in their day to day, but also why they’re doing it.

Aly Moore (Bugible) - On A Mission To Open Minds and Mouths - Ep. 13
The Bus Driver Experience
09/03/19 • 79 min
After studying public health at Yale University, Aly Moore searched for a way to address the challenges to feed our growing sustainably and nutritiously feed our growing population. Who knew all it would take was eating cricket tacos in Mexico after a night out on the town. She started Bugible.com a blog to support the growing insect agriculture industry and slowly grew a cult following on Instagram. In order to reach broader audiences, Eat Bugs Events where Aly has hosted educational events like Bug & Wine Pairings, Bug Dinners & Bug Cooking Classes all around the world.
Since, Bugible has become the leading media & PR brand for the insect agriculture industry, appearing on Netflix's Bill Nye, Food & Wine, Forbes, & others. Today, Bugible focuses on continuing to spread awareness about other sustainable and nutritious potential of bugs through collaborations with institutions of all kinds from the International Culinary Center, Yale University, Parks & Recreation Districts, or even the Girl Scouts of America.
Although I've tried eating insects before Aly opened up my eyes to the bigger problems insect agriculture is trying to solve, SUSTAINABILITY. Imagine having to use a fraction of the farmland we normally use for cattle? Imagine increasing the biodiversity of the soil and enriching the land with bug fertilizers? Decreasing CO2 emissions and feeding billions of more people?

Imagine being the first person to ever represent your country in the Olympic games. And then winning the medal...
How would that one event change your life?
Everybody, meet Tony Jeffries - Olympic Bronze Medalist, international trainer and founder of the best boxing gym in all of L.A., Box N’ Burn.
Tony was the first boxer from Tyne and Wear to have ever qualified for the 2008 summer Olympics. On top of winning the bronze medal that year, he’s won 7 British boxing titles, several multi-international ones and has been in over 106 fights throughout his career.
After retiring from professional boxing due to hand injuries, he became an international coach and trainer at his gym, Box N' Burn - named "California's #1 Gym" by Men's Fitness Magazine.
In this episode, Tony talks business - how he trained and got to the Olympics, what he does differently when working with clients and what his thoughts on boxing are today.
The man is naturally hilarious, knows what's up and is just plain fun to talk to. Which made this week's episode, personally, a blast to listen to.
Enjoy the show!

Brittany Berger - You Aren’t Your Identity - Ep. 4
The Bus Driver Experience
06/03/19 • 69 min
“How is your identity holding you back? And where does the fear of being judged come from?”
Everybody, please welcome Brittany Berger - published best-selling author of “25 and selfish” and motivational speaker on topics of self-worth, authenticity, and empowerment in your life.
She’s been featured in Brickell’s top 20 professionals under 40 and is currently in the works of publishing her next book.
Brittany, in the span of 3 years, left her high-level “safe” job in a successful career, moved to another country and published a best-selling book on her most vulnerable thoughts in this stage of her life. And from there, she's managed to create a full-blown career out of it!
So in this episode, we delve into the emotional side of how somebody does all that. Why did she write her book? How did she have to change her identity to do it? How did everybody react to her decisions? And most importantly: how do people see you when you show that level of vulnerability to them?
Brittany is an incredible speaker and life coach. And in this episode, I’m sure you’ll be just as captivated by her words, and advice, as I was.
Enjoy her story.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- Why Brittany left her job to go to another country and write her book.
- How she views failure and what spurred her into a career as an author, as well as a public speaker.
- How your identity holds you back. And where the fear of being judged comes from.
- Why people crave a certain level of vulnerability, and what makes others see that?
- How the way you view others differs from how you view yourself.
- And much more!

While covering her story I was moved not only by her work but the many individuals I spoke with. Lizbeth and I jump right into supreme court rulings that recently took place, ICE and childhood detainees on our southern border.
