Comedian Zainab Johnson Premieres Her New Special "Hajibs Off" TODAY On Prime Video!

Zainab Johnson is a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer. She is quickly being propelled as one of the most unique and engaging performers on stage and screen. Zainab’s comedy is based on her unique point-of-view, which was shaped growing up in Harlem as one of thirteen siblings in a black Muslim family. After getting a degree in Education and Math and taking a job as a teacher, she quickly learned that she had a different calling. Zainab is currently a series regular on the Amazon Original hit series titled Upload from Greg Daniels, she is one of the hosts for Netflix's show 100 Humans, and starred as Dr. Hanniel in the brilliantly written web series Avant-Guardians. She made her first late night stand up appearance on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, and had breakout appearances on HBO’s All Def Comedy, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and has performed at the JFL Comedy Festival in Montreal first as a "New Face of Comedy", then as one of "Variety's Top 10 Comics to Watch", and most recently on the longest running JFL show "Just For The Culture". She is a paid regular at The Comedy Store, The Improv, and Laugh Factory in Los Angeles as well as the Comedy Cellar in New York City.

Devin can be seen as Charlie on the Apple Original comedy series “Shrinking” with Jason Segel and Harrison Ford (and from the creators of Ted Lasso - set to be one of the biggest new shows of the year!). Charlie is the boyfriend of Brian played by Michael Urie. The series premiered on January 27th. Additionally, he has been recurring on NBC’s Chicago Med portraying first year surgical resident Dr. Kai Tanaka-Reed with his next episodes airing in February and beyond.

Previously Devin has appeared on multiple television shows including “Lucifier,” Marvel’s “The Runaways,” and “Criminal Minds.” In 2022 he starred in Jeremy O. Harris’ award winning “Slave Play” at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. The show received 12 Tony nominations becoming the most nominated non-musical play ever.

Actor and Activist Ed Begley Jr. Discusses His Latest Book To The Temple of Tranquility and Step On it!

Ed Begley Jr. is truly one of a kind, a performer who is known equally for his prolific film and television career and his environmental activism. From an appearance on My Three Sons to a notable role in Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman to starring in St. Elsewhere—as well as films with Jack Nicholson, Meryl Streep, and mockumentarian Christopher Guest—Begley has worked with just about everyone in Hollywood. His “green” bona fides date back to 1970, and have been the topic of two books, a reality show, countless media appearances, and even repeated spoofs on The Simpsons (in one episode, Begley’s solar‐powered car stalls out on train tracks, but is saved when the train is revealed to be an “Ed Begley Solar‐Powered Train”).

In To the Temple of Tranquility...And Step On It!, Begley shares a fountain of hilarious and poignant stories throughout his life. The memoir is candid and endearing; in one chapter, he is summoned to Marlon Brando’s house to discuss the practical uses of electric eels. In another, he tells the story of taking Annette Bening to the Oscars in “an oddball kit-car that had gull wing doors, and was nearly impossible to get in or out of, unless you were a yoga master, which fortunately she was.” Not to mention insightful and surprising tales about The Beatles, Monty Python, Richard Pryor, Cesar Chavez, Jeff Goldblum, Tom Waits, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carrie Fisher, and so many more luminaries.

Begley’s unmistakable voice is honest and revealing in a way that only a comic of his caliber can accomplish. Behind all the stories, Begley has wisdom to impart. This is a book about family, friends, addiction, failure, and redemption.
