Every parent knows what it is like to call their kids and they don’t respond. But the calling of God on our lives is too great to dismiss.

Bible Reading: Acts 13-14

Verse of the day: Acts 13:2, "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”"

Word of the day: Called. It is the Greek word: προσκαλέω (pros-kal-eh'-om-ahee).

We can become jaded by life’s twists and turns and believe the lie that our troubles are destined to fate or karma, or that God does not see or care. But the human condition is in the hands of God, and He is always faithful.

Bible Reading: Eccl. 9-10

Verse of the day: Ecclesiastes 9:2, “It is the same for all. There is one fate for the righteous and for the wicked; for the good, for the clean and for the unclean; for the man who offers a sacrifice and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good man is, so is the sinner; as the swearer is, so is the one who is afraid to swear.”

Word of the day: Fate. It is the Hebrew word: מִקְרֶה (mik-reh').

In a world that does not uphold marital values or fidelity, Christian marriage is a witness of God’s faithfulness.

Bible Reading: Songs 1-2

Verse of the day: Songs 2:16(a), "My beloved is mine, and I am his."

Word of the day: My beloved. It is the Hebrew word: דּוֹד (dode).

It means lover,

We cannot be faithful to God’s word if we are not careful to apply it to our lives. Being careful with God’s word requires first being attentive to it so we can rightly apply it.

Bible Reading: Neh. 7-9

Verse of the day: Nehemiah 8:3, "From early morning till noon, he read the Law of Moses to them, and they listened carefully."

Word of the day: Carefully. It is the Hebrew word: אֹזֶן (o'-zen).

God’s Kingdom is already but not yet fully realized. Oh, what a moment it will be when the Kingdom of God is established on earth.

Bible Reading: Rev. 11-15

Verse of the day: Revelation 11:15, "The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

Word of the day: Kingdom. It is the Greek word: βασιλεία (bas-il-i'-ah).

It means kingdom of God, dominion, rule, realm, royalty.
