The Beautiful Minds Podcast
Hannah Murray
Hi, I'm Hannah - A expert in Mental Health and a survivor of suicide.
This podcast is all about real conversation; offering guests an open space to share life experiences and discuss taboo subjects around mental wellbeing. The increase in Mental ill health is rising in all communities, so it is more important than ever that safe spaces are created; where everyone is encouraged to discuss their struggles and be supported without judgement. That is why I am so passionate about sharing the benefits of self development for a better mental health, because it is what I needed at my darkest time.
This content comes with TRIGGER warnings as it maybe too real for some to hear. But it is some ones reality right?!
Welcome to The Beautiful Minds podcast- I hope you enjoy it!

Lets talk about Sex...
As adults we all know that the topic of Sex is a taboo & no one really wants to talk about it, but we should because from butt plugs to bondage, the world of Sex has grown in the last 20 yrs and the younger generation are being exposed to higher expectations than ever before!
Shannon runs Enrich RSE ; a provider who is proud to deliver education that reflects good practice guidance within Sex Education. RSE should provide an opportunity for exploration, expression, reflection and the important opportunity to dispel the (all too common) myths that can make the distinct differences between healthy and unrealistic expectations around sex.
Shannon is hugely passionate about delivering tailor-made RSE packages and workshops which work with & support Young People in this invaluable subject area.

PANDAS Foundation charity
https://pandasfoundation.org.uk/
This is a charity that supports parents with pre and post natal depression and anxiety . This year they have seen a rise of 240 % of parents accessing PANDAS helpline and support groups. During the global pandemic women have had to go to hospital appointments on their own, go through the Labour phase without their partners, mothers have not been able to receive the much valued care of extended family and friends, There has been no face to face contact with Health Visitors and no access to parent groups. This has left women feeling isolated, resulting in a significant rise in post natal depression and anxiety.
PANDAS have launched a support group in Hampshire for parents in need; offering early intervention , signposting and peer support . In March PANDAS Hampshire we will be hosting virtual support groups, such as; well-being , yoga and self care workshops... This is all free!
As a charity they are unable to facilitate face to face group workshops currently , however they are currently offering the following;
* Weekly peer support zoom calls
* Workshops focusing on well-being and self care
* Workshops with guest hosts to offer advice on sleeping patterns , weaning and play.
PANDAS Hampshire are currently fundraising to ensure that their support groups can continue running every month of the year. PLEASE follow and share the link below to help them continue their work in supporting so many vulnerable parents at this time.

Finding life's silver linings
The Beautiful Minds Podcast
12/02/21 • 49 min
Adjusting to life with a disability can be a difficult transition. We all tend to take our health for granted—until it’s gone. Then, it’s all too easy to obsess over what we’ve lost. But while you can’t go back in time to a healthier you or wish away your limitations, you can change the way you think about and cope with your disability.
Sandie’s life was turned upside-down when she suddenly became disabled in 2019 after collapsing at work. A suspected stroke led to tests and finally a diagnosis of FND - a problem with the functioning of the nervous system.
Over the last couple of years Sandie has found joy through self acceptance. She has found her calling in promoting body confidence and empowers people with disabilities to feel confident. Recently appeared on ITV This Morning, Sandie was asked to hold a call-in to offer advice about ‘finding your body confidence’.

Being a social enterprise , Creatful don't make money from their workshops, the costs to attendees goes straight back into delivering more for the community.
