About Dale
Dale Trumbore is a Los Angeles-based composer and writer whose music has been praised by The New York Times for its "soaring melodies and beguiling harmonies." Trumbore's compositions have been performed widely in the U.S. and internationally by ensembles including the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los Angeles Children's Chorus, Modesto Symphony, Pacific Chorale, Pasadena Symphony, The Singers – Minnesota Choral Artists, and VocalEssence.
Trumbore's 2019-2020 season included performances at the NCCO National Conference, the Norton Simon Museum, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. She has served as Composer in Residence for Choral Chameleon as well as Artist in Residence at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, Copland House, and the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico.
How to Go On, Choral Arts Initiative's album of Trumbore's choral works, debuted at #6 on Billboard's Traditional Classical Chart. Choral Arts Northwest, The Esoterics, Helix Collective, New York Virtuoso Singers, and soprano Gillian Hollis have also commercially recorded works by Trumbore. Her choral works are available through Boosey & Hawkes, G. Schirmer, and Graphite Marketplace.
As a composer who works frequently with words, Trumbore is passionate about setting to music poems, prose and found text by living writers. She has written extensively about working through creative blocks and establishing a career in music in essays for 21CM, Cantate Magazine, the Center for New Music, and NewMusicBox. Her first book, Staying Composed: Overcoming Anxiety and Self-Doubt Within a Creative Life, was hailed by writer Angela Myles Beeching (Beyond Talent) as a "treasure trove of practical strategies for moving your artistic career forward... not only for composers, but for performers, writers, and any other creatives."
Trumbore holds a dual degree in Music Composition and English from the University of Maryland and a Master of Music degree in Composition from the University of Southern California. A New Jersey native, Trumbore lives in Azusa, CA with her husband and their two cats.

About Joe
Joseph Resendes is a Lecturer within the School of The Arts at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario Canada, where he is the director of the McMaster University Concert Band and teaches courses in Theory & Analysis, Orchestration, Conducting, Woodwind Techniques, and instrumental music education. Joseph has extensive credits as an active conductor, composer, adjudicator, and clinician that has allowed him the privilege of working with many professionals and recording artists such as ‘The Tenors’ (formerly the Canadian Tenors), multi Grammy award winning producers like Steve Thompson, International tours with the ‘Musica em Viagem’ (Azores Musical Journey) wind ensemble, in addition to conducting many highly acclaimed ensembles such as the University of North Texas Wind Symphony.
Joseph currently holds degrees from York University (BFA – woodwind performance and conducting, MA – Composition) and is currently working towards the completion of a PhD in musicology. As a conductor, Joseph receives regular invitations to conduct or guest conduct orchestras, chamber ensembles, and wind ensembles locally and abroad. Joseph’s primary research interests include the pedagogical practices of conducting, gesture and communication, and the dissemination of Canadian wind bands, literature, and history.

About Laura Lee
Laura Lee has been teaching instrumental, guitar and vocal music in Simcoe County since 1995 at the secondary level. She has experienced a school closing, school amalgamation and the opening of a new school and as such became a pro at packing and unpacking a music program! She often works with her family of schools to assist them in providing music programming. Laura Lee is Arts Chair at Orillia Secondary School and is the recipient of the 2018 MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award. Laura Lee is currently the Treasurer for the Ontario Music Educators’ Association (OMEA) board of directors and was President of the OMEA from 2008-2010.
About Dan
Dan Austin has been teaching Instrumental and Vocal Music for 20 years, and is currently the Band Director and Instrumental Music Teacher at GCVI in Guelph. In 2020 Dan was named the inaugural winner of the prestigious Beckwith Award by the Canadian Music Centre. (https://on.cmccanada.org/ba-dan-austin/) A graduate of York University’s Jazz Music Program, Dan has taught music classes at both the elementary and secondary levels at Twin Lakes Secondary School (SCDSB), Glenhaven Senior Public School (PDSB), and Mitchell Woods Public School (UGDSB). He has presented several clinics at the annual Ontario Music Educators Association conference and is a regular contributor to the Canadian Music Educators Association Journal, Ontario Music Educators Association Journal, and the Ontario District Trillium Magazine. Dan has also been a guest lecturer in music education classes at University of Toronto, McMaster University, and York University. Dan is also the current Western Ontario Representative on the board of the Ontario Band Association.
Outside of school, Dan keeps an active schedule as a vocal and instrumental performer with a variety of groups across Southern Ontario, as well as being a husband, and a father to two amazing children. Dan has been Treasurer for the Peel Intermediate Music Teacher’s Association, President and founder of the Upper Grand Elementary Music Teachers Association, Vice President of Youth In Harmony for the Ontario District, and Education Coordinator for the International award winning Ontario Youth A Cappella Chorus. Dan is a member of the Harbourtown Sound A Cappella Men’s Chorus (Hamilton), The After Party a cappella quartet (2019 Ontario Silver Medalists) and released his first solo jazz album as a ba
