On Friday October 1st, Nigeria will be celebrating its 61st anniversary of independence from British colonial rule. Most people were taught that Nigeria made a move for independence in 1953 and then independence was granted in 1960. But that’s actually not the way it happened.

Special thanks to Kyunne Austin, John Iwodi and Richard Anyebe for the voice reenactments.
