PAIN.
It’s a word we (usually) avoid in the music world.
We try to avoid it at all cost and eventually it catches up with us. (i.e. some of the greatest songs in history).
This week, instead of bringing a guest...
I’m going completely raw and vulnerable with the one thing that has shaped my entire career, in such a way where now... looking back...
All I have to say is that I’m thankful for it.
That’s right.
Pain. (Ugh...)
But, how do we make pain our friend instead of something we’re constantly trying to avoid?...
That’s what this week's episode is all about!

The Art of Awareness with Wes Lauterbach
One of the internet marketing guru's favorite words is "Awareness". Which usually just ends up turning off a lot of people for their own reasons...
But what about in the music world... What does awareness have to do with putting out a great song? What does awareness have to do with fan interaction?
EVERYTHING (good guess, if you got this right!)
Everything we do as creators steams from this specific characteristic of success. That's why on this episode I had frontman of Lowborn (alt-rock group who just surpassed 1million streams) and studio owner of "The Stu" in Greensboro, NC - Wes Lauterbach on to ask him his take on what "Awareness" really means to an artist and why it is EVERYTHING to a successful career.

The Art of Guidance with Daniel Grimmett
I would not have a business without this man's guidance this past year.
Daniel Grimmett is my mentor with his company Dark Label.
The last episode you guys heard about the pain I went through to build a company that has done $30k in its first year (IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY... not easy...). And this episode, I'm bringing on the person who helped me see this through. I'm a huge believer that teamwork is the competitive edge that EVERYONE who is serious about what they do should incorporate in one way or another.
I know personally having guidance and mentorship has been A HUGE benefit to my life and journey as a music producer.
