"Stopped in My Tracks:" An interview with author Christina Gomez, MD
Dr. Wilner would love your feedback! Click here to send a text! Thanks!
Many thanks to Christina Gomez, MD, a gastrointestinal oncologist at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Phoenix, AZ, and author of the new book "Stopped in My Tracks."
Dr. Gomez attended medical school, residency, and fellowship at the University of Miami. During her fellowship year, she found herself scribbling pertinent and poignant quotes from her discussions with cancer patients in the exam room. She continued this habit for 15 years and recently published this unique collection in a book, "Stopped in My Tracks."
Dr. Gomez and I had a deep conversation about the intimate nature of the patient-physician relationship, advances in cancer treatment, the art of listening carefully to patients, and helping people live with cancer if a cure is not forthcoming.
Dr. Gomez's passion for patient care illuminates this 30-minute interview. She was a joy to speak with, and I'm sure you will enjoy her book, "Stopped in My Tracks."
