This week, Government Affairs Director Tyler Dobbs is back to talk more about the Remote ID NPRM in-depth, and clear up some misconceptions that have been seen on social media.
The FAA is accepting comments on the remote ID proposal until March 2, 2020. We have also requested an extension on the comment period to give everyone more time to weigh-in. To help us achieve the best possible outcome on the final rule, it is critically important that everyone submit a comment.

Joe Bok, CEO of Aero Telemetry is an airplane designer, FAA licensed pilot, aerospace engineer and former football player who has had a hand in developing telemetry systems for everything from football helmets to the space shuttle. He also had a key role in building the model airplanes used in 2004's The Aviator!

The Torrey Pines Gulls, one of the first AMA Chartered clubs dedicated solely to RC soaring, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Gulls operate three fields in San Diego County: The Torrey Pines Gliderport in La Jolla, the Poway Flight Center in Poway and Encinitas Flight Center in Encinitas; all used for various disciplines of soaring such as thermal, wench, discus launch and of course slope soaring. They have played host to the International Hand Launch Glider Festival for 25 years and helped in the development of FAI F3K as an aeromodeling discipline.
