Also known around the city as DJ Chi, Charles Lauste has quietly emerged as one of the best producers in Chicago. Perhaps best known for his collaboration with the homie Femdot, last Sunday’s sold out headliner was as much his show as it was Femi’s. Producers tend to not get recognition they deserve for their contributions for culture, but the fact of the matter is that your favorite songs don’t exist without them.
