How the hell are we almost 60 Episodes into our show, friends? We're into mid season form as the most busy time of the year (sports wise) is drawing near. NBA Basketball's here, the WNBA just ended, NFL/NCAA Football, MLB Playoffs, MLS Soccer and more. It's the most wonderful time of the year.. and we're here for it.
During "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly," Penn breaks down his takes on the Deshaun Watson saga. As you know, they haven't supported Mr. Watson since the news broke of his mistreatment to women. We don't play that and Penn lets you know why. We don't appreciate the crowds reaction, but we don't think he should've been on the field in the first place.
"Around The World" is full of all the sports talk, homies.
The World Series is set. Dodgers x Yankees, baby. Go Dodgers. The NFL's (low key) boring so we're grateful the NBA's started. Big ups to The New York Liberty. They got a whole ass Championship... FINALLY! We called that one (in 5). During "Naptown News," we discuss the Colts and Pacers. The Colts are 4-3 and we can't even be mad about it. As it pertains to our Pacers, 50+ wins.. OR BUST.
We don't know how we do it, but it's another phenomenal episode full of laughs, jokes.. and a couple cries as well.
Lots of Sports. All the Fun. ✌🏿✌🏾

After a quick break for the Mock Draft & Live From the Draft House presentations, Penn & Pops are back to their usual antics. Clownin’, jokin’ and talkin’ sports... especially INDY sports. In Episode 7, they do just that. They kickoff the show by sendin’ some good vibes and special shoutouts to some of their new favorite friends and fans. They LOVE them some Indy sports fans.
In the NBA Playoff Recap segment, they discuss each series in detail. They offer their perspective as the Conference Semifinals are chippy, aggressive, competitive and full of fantastic play. They’re holding on as they picked Phoenix to win it ALL. The Suns looked great in the 1st two games vs Dallas, but will they take the same swagger to Dallas? They also discuss “The Proccess’” injury. They agree that if he plays, they have a chance, but without him.. it’s a wrap. They also discuss the most intriguing series of the NBA Playoffs; Golden State vs. Memphis.
The NFL Draft is officially over and everyone’s is settled in and digested. Penn & Pops are enthusiastically optimistic about the Colts’ selections as they filled key holes on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. QB, Matt Ryan, will have more weapons at WR and TE as Alec Pierce and Jelani Woods will be expected to make in instant impact. Safety, Nick Cross, and OT, Bernhard Raimann, could also become crucial components to the success of the franchise; in both the immediate and future. In Ballard They Trust.
The Fine Print delivers all types of fun as Penn & Pops discuss hip hop music, the Bad Boys movie franchise and of course... Samuel L. Jackson. Gotta love SLJ.
Enjoy Episode 7, friends.

Ayo!!! As promised, Penn & Pops are right back with their next Episode. Two things they learned, you ask? Number One... They learned a whole new respect for those who record daily. Number Two.. There's no way they're ready to start recording weekly. HAHA. With that said, Episode 20 (Part 2) is quite a doozie.
Penn delivers big time shoutouts to some of their friends/fans of the show. Throughout the Colts' season, they've met some fantastic people. As the season (FINALLY) winds down, Penn wanted to make sure he showed some love to their peeps. In Around The World, the fellas discuss the NBA's crazy Christmas games, Franco Harris, Deion Sanders, Naptown News & more.
Penn & Pops are always up to something as it pertains to their segment topics. In their latest Episode, they discuss the Best "Jr's" in the NBA. They've watched hoops long enough to see multiple generations come into the league. They discuss Kenyon Martin Jr, Gary Peyton II, Tim Hardaway Jr, Gary Trent Jr. and more. They also discuss scottie Pippen Jr., but not for the reasons you'd think. Sheesh.
During, The Fine Print, the fellas discuss the toughest current players in the NBA. The days of Kenyon Martin, Zach Randolph and Charles Oakley are far behind us. With that said, James Johnson, Steven Adams and Udonis Haslem are clear cut bad asses. Pops also thinks no one wants the smoke with the likes of Jimmy Butler; the modern day Stephen Jackson. They also show Baker Mayfield some love and talk about the Dirk Nowitzki statue. Who else deserves a statue, friends?
Enjoy Episode 20 (Part 2). ✌🏿

The 317 Sports Project - The 317 to 614 Connection | Episode 3 | The 317 Sports Project

In Episode 3, ‘The 317 to 614 Connection,’ Penn and Pops showcase their love for Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH; both the cities and the teams that represent them. They connect the cities and bridge the Interstate 70 gap by looking back at people who’ve played for both states. Penn details his journey to becoming a Buckeyes fan after moving to Columbus in the early 90’s. Pops, a die hard MIchigan fan, explains his appreciation for The Ohio State athletic programs.

Penn and Pops reminisce on some of the Ohio State Buckeye greats who became Indianapolis Colts such as Mike Doss, Anthony Gonzales, and Tyquan Lewis. They talk about the incomparable ‘317 to 614’ connection between two of Nap Town’s finest; Greg Oden and Mike Conley. Are they considered to be “Indiana legends” like Steve Alford, Larry Bird and Damon Bailey? They take a walk down memory lane, discussing “5 Top Sports Moments” that involved Indiana and Ohio.

In the Fine Print segment, they cover the Juwan Howard suspension, praise the USWNT team and take a gander at the NBA Top 75 list.

That's right. We said it. Sean "Diddy" Combs is an absolute dumbass. Along with that, The Fever made the playoffs, the Colts won their first game (finally) and Vince Carter's number is getting retired... TWICE. What a great time for sports and entertainment, huh friends? Episode 57 is right on brand w/ Penn & Pops.
During The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, Penn dishes on the Colorado Buffaloes 3-1 start to the season. He also explains why "Hollywood Heroes" are overrated and the Dallas Cowboys are an absolute disaster. Around the World is full of NFL & WNBA updates along with a segment dedicated to the stupidity of Sean Combs.
Naptown News is all about the Colts & Fever. AR-5 got his first win, although it was ugly and the Fever made the playoffs. Unfortunately, the Connecticut Sun are a terrific, battle tested squad so they have their work cut out for them. Either way, the Playoff experience will do 'em wonders in the future.
Enjoy. Episode 57, peeps. Lots of Sports. All the Fun. ✌🏿✌🏾

The 317 Sports Project - Super Bowl Bonanza | Episode 45 | The 317 Sports Project

It's almost Super Bowl Sunday, March Madness is a little over a month away and The Ohio State Men's Basketball team hasn't won a game on the road in over a year. Episode 45 (Super Bowl Bonanza) is full of all the fun.. plus more. Penn & Pops BRING IT on this one, friends. Let's break it down some.
During "Around the World", Penn & Pops discuss their Super Bowl Predictions. Although Penn doesn't like his pick, he thinks the Chiefs are destined to get the ring. That means Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are sure to be front and center. Pops picked the 49ers to win it all and he could be absolutely right. They discuss the NBA as the All-Star break is close. Who'll win the Dunk Contest and can Steph beat Sabrina in the Super Shootout.
They also breakdown the Grammy's. Yeah, that's right, homies. They're more than sports. They discuss the winners, losers, performances and best outfits of the show. Fun fact, Snoop Dogg has been nominated 16 times and NEVER won a Grammy. Crazy, huh? College hoops is bucklin' down and gettin' ready for "Tourney Time." The fellas are convinced this season is gonna bring some of the best March Madness basketball; both Men's and Women's.
The Pacers have been on a slight slump and Pops discusses his perspective on why. His analysis is phenomenal as he discusses the injuries and lack of defense that could be causing' the mishaps. Buddy and Obi are defensive liabilities and he's confident one or both of them could be moved in the offseason. They're also missin' Benn Mathurin emphatically.
In The Fine Print, Penn & Pops talk about Klay Thompson's whoa's as he's been benched a couple/few times at the end of games. They agree his future in Golden State could be close to the end. They're also not big fans of the Commanders hiring of Dan Quinn and Kliff Kingsbury. They're pretty sure they'll continue to fail miserably... unless they get Caleb Williams in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Episode 45 is full of all the goodies and we hope you absolutely love it. ✌🏿✌🏾
