We are BACK and full throttle with this series.
The infamous Amityville house is among the elite when it comes to reputation. Pop-culture has solidified it as the epitome of what a haunted house should be. The Amityville Horror phenomenon has spawned countless amounts of cinema, books, articles, and, yes even podcasts, but what makes this thing tick?
Is it the "based on true events" ceremoniously typed on the cover?
There is no question the house that was once 112 Ocean Ave. bore witness to ghastly events the night the Defeo family was slaughtered. In this episode we delve into the initial crime of which Ronald Defeo Jr. stood convicted of and his case.
Next week, we will dismantle the haunting after the Lutz family moves into the home and evacuates just 28 days later. But, is the house truly haunted or were we duped? Did the Lutz's pull off the most well executed hoaxes of all time? How much of what you believe to be true about Amityville has been influenced by pop-culture?
Stick around and decide for yourself.
