Welcome to That NICU Mum, a podcast sharing the stories of New Zealand parents who have had a baby in a neonatal unit across the country.
Today's episode (the first for 2024!) is with Sophie, who's son Freddie was born at 32 weeks after a partial placental abruption at 27 weeks saw her having to stay in hospital until his birth.
She talks about his calm birth, their straightforward NICU journey and the hard experiences they had after Freddie got home.
She is also pregnant with baby #2 so hopefully things turn out differently for them this time!
Enjoy,
