Today we speak with Reia, mum to Oscar and Olive who were both born at 38 weeks but also both needed the NICU for various reasons.

Reia talks us through her pregnancies and births, which were as expected, and then the events that had both babies admitted to the NICU for about a week each.

Reia is lovely to speak to and I'm glad that she gets to share her story as a term NICU parent - definitely a situation we don't hear about super often!

Enjoy,

This episode we speak with Maddy, whos son Jasper was born just before 34 weeks after her baby shower (sounds familiar to my own baby shower experience!) when it seemed that she had had a placental abruption. Jasper had a pretty straightforward NICU stay, being moved between North Shore where they were when when he was born and Rotorua where they live. Maddy talks about her easy pregnancy, her scary birth where she was under GA, and how they think that his gestation and dates were probably wrong considering his ease in which he flew through NICU!

Trigger warning - This episode discusses infant loss.

Today we speak with Jaime, mum to Arthur and Jethro and wife to Hayes, as she shares her story of heartbreak after losing their Twin A, Arthur, in utero. Being MCMA twins the boys were high risk and unfortunately the worst happened to them.

Jaime talks us through losing Arthur and nearly losing Jethro as well, their NICU journey while planning a funeral and how she is going now that Jethro is nearly coming up 9 months old.

Jaime is super brave and even after everything her family has been through is a super upbeat person which just goes to show her incredible strength.

Today we chat with Rylee, a young mum who had twin girls born at 33 weeks. Unfortunately, her twin B, Hazel, was born with a brain injury and heartbreakingly passed away at just four days old.

Rylee shares with us her journey through grief while also navigating NICU and SCBU with her twin A, Seana, and how this affected her as a person and as a parent.

A huge thank you to Rylee for sharing her story with us - it's never easy, and even less so when you are talking about the loss of your child.
