Rent Now Ep 2 - Charlie's Angels (Review)

That Film Stew Podcast
Written and directed by Elizabeth Banks, Charlie’s Angels is the third Charlie’s Angels film and serves as a continuation of the story that began with the television series of the same name by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, and the two previous theatrical films, Charlie’s Angels (2000) and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003). Unfortunately, this movie did not do great at the box office, but perhaps it will serve better on its home release run. The new Angels (Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska) are working for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose investigative agency has expanded internationally. The Angels are among the world’s smartest, bravest and most highly trained women all over the glove. Under the guidance of Bosley (Elizabeth Banks), the Angels must protect a revolutionary technology from becoming weaponised. They will have to rely on each other as their assignment becomes increasingly treacherous and even those closest to them can no longer be trusted. Charlie’s Angels is available to rent now from a Video Ezy Express kiosk.

Superman: Red Son presents an alternative reality which answers the question – what if Superman had landed in Soviet Russia instead of the United States of America. Directed by Sam Liu, Superman: Red Son is the 37th instalment in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series, based on the 2003 comic book miniseries of the same name written by Mark Millar. After Krypton is destroyed, Kal-El’s ship crash lands in the Soviet Union where he’s raised to combat the Communist ideology as Russia’s greatest protector: Superman. But as Russia’s hero begins to create chaos around the world on behalf of the Soviets, international forces must step in to save the world.
