Bazterrica's superbly crafted novel delves deep into this near-future dystopia in order to hold a mirror to our present selves, and we're all better (and a little nauseous) because of it. In this meeting of That Damned Book Club we discuss "What Moves the Dead" by T. Kingfisher. It's a twisted retelling of "The Fall of the House of Usher," and we loved it. It maintains the gothic horror feel of source material while giving it a few new interesting updates. We learned that it's also now the first book in a series, so we're interested to see where the story goes. In our opinion though, this book can stand on its own.
