In today’s episode, we are talking about one of my favorite coping skills, Fact-Checking. I introduced fact-checking in last week's episode and wanted to give it more time and attention because it’s so important. Fact-checking is one of the most important coping skills I teach. Its origins are based on the idea, “I am not my thoughts”. I coach the 3 steps to fact-checking; stop & label, PTI (private thought investigator), and honest self-compassion.

You will be getting more ADHD content in today’s episode. Taylor puts the symptoms of ADHD aside and focuses on what ADHD actually is and how it affects your frontal lobes. Taylor answers, “Why do I have ADHD? Why is my brain different from everyone else’s?” The short answer to this question is DOPAMINE. Taylor is taking on dopamine and explaining why dopamine is the main reason why you have ADHD and how low amounts of dopamine can negatively affect your day-to-day life.

Hello Tenacious Humans! In today’s episode, we are talking all about the HOW when it comes to emotional maturity. 11/29/22 • 33 min

In today’s episode, I am answering my husband's question, “What do you do when validation doesn’t work?” This led me down a rabbit hole called, “Emotional Maturity”. I talk to you about what emotional maturity is and the big differences between someone who is emotionally mature versus someone who is emotionally immature. Your homework with week is to answer these 4 questions through journaling:

  1. How did you respond to a recent stressful situation?
  2. How have you coped with unexpected change?
  3. Are you often fed up with everyone and everything?
  4. When things go wrong, do you usually pin the blame on yourself or others?
