Dr. Annie Downs has been a physical therapist for over 40 years, with her Masters in Public Health and her doctorate in Health Promotion and Wellness. She has numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, has done national presentations, and recently has done a lot of research on resilience as a developable skill.
What I love about Annie is that she is not just an academic. She applies her research to her own life which can be especially seen in recently giving up her tenured job as an Assocaite Professor with no job prospects on the horizon because she had to be true to herself and he values. It is an inspiring story...

Happy Valentines Day!
I know Valentines Day can be an interesting time with some people loving it and using it as an opportunity to share their appreciation and love of their spouses, partners, and relationships while other people dislike the overcommerialization and may feel alone and left out.
Regardless of your views on Valentines Day itself, I thought it would be a good opportunity to share some of my insights and thoughts on love, relationships, and communication that I have gained from 8 years of marriage.
Enjoy!
