11/06/20 • 33 min
2 Listeners
With interest rates at historic lows, where can investors put their cash? Older investors need steady income and younger investors may be saving money for a home, education or family. Either way this portion of your capital needs to be deployed in a way that is not subject to stock market ups and downs. Mark Mitchell is a Director of Daintree Capital, a boutique investment management company specialising in building fixed income credit portfolios.

Benjamin Blakeman - The Oracle on Wilshire
“It always seemed to me to be much too difficult to analyse the fundamentals of whatever it was that you were trading, because there would always be people that knew so much more than could ever possibly know, and what they knew would somehow be reflected in the trading in the chart and you could see that.” Benjamin is a lawyer, stock trader and publisher of the newsletter The Oracle on Wilshire. A technical analyst he uses trends and patterns to determine movements in the stock market. His curiosity in financial markets began with the severing of the US dollar from the gold standard in 1971 by Richard Nixon sparking a fascination with commodities markets. Benjamin has previously worked as a financial adviser, and currently works as a lawyer with four decades of experience in life insurance litigation he is considered one of the preeminent lawyers in his field.
