After Daughter Hazel's Stillbirth, Dad Tad Advises to Take Care of Oneself Physically

Still A Part of Us

Dad Tad shares in the interview what helped him to grieve the loss of his daughter Hazel, who was born still at 36 weeks. He found that taking care of himself physically helped him emotionally. Tad also thinks about how they'll celebrate her upcoming 1st birthday, and Lee advises Tad to be gentle on themselves that day. Tad and his wife Taylor also have a dedicated spot with all of Hazel's things that helps them feel close to her.

Dad Tad's Story of Daughter Hazel's Birth, Stillborn at 36 Weeks

Dad Tad recounts the stillbirth story of his daughter Hazel in the middle of the COVID pandemic, telling us of his wife Taylor's early miscarriage, then pregnancy with Hazel and when they found out Hazel's heart wasn't beating anymore. He describes their time in the hospital and when she was born and how perfect she looked.

They later made arrangements for her burial and had a beautiful funeral for her with family and friends as best they could during the pandemic.
