In today's episode of the Steve Stine Guitar Podcast, we will be joined by Brent Paschke. He is a guitarist, producer, songwriter, and author based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known as Pharrell Williams’ guitarist, having worked with the singer/songwriter/producer since 2001. Paschke accompanies Williams in the studio and on tour, and his guitar performances appear on such Pharrell projects as G I R L (2015 Grammy winner for Best Urban Contemporary Album) and Hidden Figures: The Album (2017 Golden Globe nominee for Best Original Score). Brent has also worked with Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, New Kids on the Block, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, and many other artists.

His recording credits include the recording of Sony Playstation, XBOX, and Nintendo Wii video game soundtracks, including popular titles like Twisted Metal Head-On, Dance Dance Revolution, and Disney’s Ultimate Band. Joel’s inventive and physical flair can be heard on numerous TV theme songs such as the NBA and The Today Show as well as movie soundtracks like Meet Joe Black, August Rush, and Along Came Polly.

For the last quarter-century, Brett has had the honor and privilege of mentoring thousands of music lovers of all ages in the fine art of music theory and modern technique and its practical application to the guitar. His teaching credits include the National Guitar Summer Workshop and the University of Texas, along with numerous other schools of music and retail instrument outlets.
Besides the countless concerts that Brett has performed in theaters and clubs of all sizes, he has also played for capacity crowds on tours of amphitheaters across the midwest and has made appearances on radio and local television.
His intention is to share himself musically with all who will listen and leave a lasting impression on his life’s work.
