Not So Musical Tents
By PaulStevens. Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories.
The next morning what transpired could best be described as chaos as it seemed that for one reason or the other the other three couples had not had an exactly enjoyable first night. Frankly Jeremy was surprised everyone was able to put aside their differences to eat that morning’s pancakes. However, once breakfast was finished hostility again rose.
Beth was angry at Sam for trying to have sex with her the night before. Something Jeremy was surprised to learn they hadn’t done yet despite months of dating. Amber and Ryan’ tent had flooded and each blamed the other. Amber was more upset for being dragged along. Finally the normally rock-steady Tim and Erin were having a disagreement about calling home. Erin was clearly concerned about the baby and wanted to check in. Tim thought she was nuts and stated the phone wasn’t working anyway.
When he had had his fill of the bickering Jeremy called out, “Enough!”
Everyone looked at him in shock, but he didn’t care.
“Okay,” he said in a much calmer tone. “Here’s what we are going to do. Tim and Erin, would you two please take Ryan and Amber into town so they may dry out their clothes and sleeping bags? It’s supposed to get chillier tonight and if they don’t dry that stuff out we’ll have serious trouble. I believe you will also find your phone works there. If not I’m sure there is a phone you can use to check in.” He then approached Erin and Tim and said to them in a lower tone as the other two went to get their wet clothes and sleeping bags, “And please try to make those two feel like they belong, especially Amber. I think she’s really feeling left out. They’re both good people. I wouldn’t have invited them if I didn’t think they’d fit in.” Tim and Erin nodded and helped the other load the wet stuff into the car and soon they were off.
Jeremy then turned to Sam and said, “As for Alicia and I, we are going to go for a hike to that canyon no one wanted to go to yesterday. I trust you two can handle cleanup? Sorry to stiff you with it, but as we cooked and the others are gone on more pressing matters it’ll have to be you.” The other pair begrudgingly nodded and signaling for Alicia to get in the car Jeremy also pulled out, headed for the nearest parking lot to the canyon in question. Ordinarily Illinois wouldn’t be known for its canyons but this place was a rare spot where they formed in great number. They weren’t huge by any measure, but sizable enough to be breathtaking.
“That was gutsy,” Alicia said as they pulled away, ‘You think we’ll still have a camp when we get back? Beth is pretty pissed.“
"They’ll work it out, and given what their fighting about its best they do it alone, plus we gave them pots to scrub to take out their frustration on. They’ll be fine.”
“And if not?”
“Well, then you and Sam will probably be switching tents, so let’s hope they make up.” He was pleased to see that Alicia nodded.
The hike was nice. They set out at a fast pace aided by the fact that both walked to and from the train each day as well as their long legs. There was a reason they were doing this hike alone, as they were pretty sure if they hadn’t none of the others would keep up. It would have been an extremely pleasant morning hike except the clouds started getting darker. However, the pair was determined to reach their goal so even when a light rain started they pressed on, so close to the end.
When they finally reached the canyon it was raining rather hard and they were unable to stand admiring for long before heading for the canyon’s sizable overhang behind its picturesque waterfall. They had no sooner made for the shelter than the sky opened and it absolutely down-poured on both, drenching them instantly.
They laughed as they looked at each other completely soaked as they sat on a rock in the overhang. Fortunately it was big enough for them to move around in as they figured they’d have to stay in there at least until the rain stopped, as getting back out on the slick rocks battling the rain was not a safe prospect.
“Looks like we’re stuck,” Jeremy said. Stating the obvious.
“Yes,” Alicia said and after a pause added, “and in that case...” she trailed off and to his shock she pulled off her t-shirt. She then removed her shoes and socks and her shorts and set them all on the rocks in an attempt to dry them. He guessed. He looked at her in disbelief. “What?” she asked, sitting on the rock in her bra and panties, which the rain had soaked through as well, showing her nipples and pussy, “it’s not like anyone is coming and they might dry better this way. It’s also not like y...

Daring Alicia: Part 2
Social Bartering
By PaulStevens. Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories.
“Now that that is settled, I need something in return for going. I myself am in a social bind of sorts. You see I organized a guy’s camping trip with two of my friends awhile back. After talking with another of my friends I decided to invite him, too, which my friend Sam then took as a license to invite his girlfriend along.
I should explain that Sam and Beth, his girlfriend, both live at home so he’s obviously doing this to get laid, but I digress. Anyway knowing I would object Sam told Tim, the other friend I originally invited, that Beth was coming so he should invite his wife Erin. They have a newborn and somehow got a sitter for the weekend so of course Erin is coming. Upon hearing that Beth and Erin were coming I had to tell Ryan, my third friend, that his fiancée Amber was invited and of course she is now also coming.
"So now my guy’s trip is suddenly me and three couples and I can’t pull out because they need my car and gear for the trip, so without me Sam doesn’t get a night alone with Beth, Tim and Erin are getting a sitter for nothing, and their weekend away from the baby is shot, which would be just cruel after we dangled it in front of them. So in other words I’m stuck.”
Alicia took all this in and said, “Let me guess, a weekend with your friends camping for a weekend of wedding with my family?”
“Yep that’s about it, and don’t worry about not knowing anyone, Ryan’s met Sam and Tim once and Amber knows no one but me so it won’t be too odd. I plan for us to all get together next Wednesday to discuss food and other stuff before Friday when we leave.”
Alicia stared at him, seemingly thinking, and said, “I’ll think about it while you get dressed.”
He got dressed and when he finished she said, “Look, I still need to think on it. My mind is in a hundred places right now.”
Jeremy sighed and seeing a pad of paper and a pen wrote his address, cell number, and the time everyone was meeting on it, ripped it off, and handed it to her.
“Look, it’s your call. I think it would work out great for both of us. Call me if you have any questions. If it helps you can have your own tent if you want, up to you.”
He had hardly made it down the hall when his phone rang. Assuming it was one of his friends, he answered immediately without looking. To his surprise a relatively familiar female voice asked, “I have one question, chicken or beef?”
“Beef.” Jeremy said smiling, knowing it was for the wedding response card.
“Okay, see you next Wednesday.” Alicia replied, clearly pleased.
A part of Jeremy might have been pleased with that, but another part, specifically the part that remembered their amazing night together, and the sex, wouldn’t let him. So on Monday when it came time for the train ride home Jeremy abandoned his usual spot on the train to search for Alicia. He was unsurprised to find her in the same car he had on Friday. She sat by herself on the upper deck with her laptop open so she hadn’t spotted him. He smiled and he made his way to the seat next to her.
Alicia was engrossed in her computer and he noticed as he got closer that she was a bit grumpy about something. For a second he thought better of the idea, but he remembered Friday. “No risk no reward” he thought.
“Excuse me miss, is this seat taken?” he asked and without looking up she said no and continued working for a second. However, as he sat her brain seemed to click and she quickly looked over and he was pleased to see the grumpiness fade, with even the slightest hint of a smile before she returned to normal.
“Jeremy,” she said, trying to be cold.
“Ally,” he said, not sure why, and she stared at him. He tried to decide if she was mad or not.
“Please don’t call me that...” she said definitely fighting irritation. Jeremy had clearly struck a nerve.
“Sorry,” he said back pedaling, “I only meant it in the sense that we’re allies of sort, you know the agreement...” he said, desperately hoping he had not blown it.
He was pleased when she smiled and chuckled, “No, you didn’t, but nice try. You are cute when you’re flustered, I’ll give you that.” She then shook her head and closed the laptop. “You sure know how to ruin a perfectly good funk Jeremy, this is twice now. I sense a pattern forming.”
“Is that good or bad?” he asked, teasing her.
“Good, but don’t push your luck too much buddy, I happen to enjoy my occasional funks.”
“Well, why don’t we share this one together? They’re more fun that way. Last time it was getting even with your boss. So who is the subject today?”
“Fred.” Alicia said and J...

Daring Alicia: Part 4
The Conclusion
By PaulStevens. Listen to the Podcast at Steamy Stories.
The next morning, however, was not as peaceful or loving; that coldness had returned. She had said too much again and clamped up. After a tense flight he dropped her off and before she got out of the car he asked, “So where do we go from here?” Alicia was silent and couldn’t bring herself to look at him, it was obvious to him that she herself could not figure out what she wanted. He knew that the battle between her feelings for him and her fear of being hurt had to be intense.
His feelings on the matter were no less as he, was on one hand so certain they loved each other that he’d be willing to wait forever for her, but on the other how long should he wait? Would she ever be ready? Ever ready to move past what Joe had done to her? A few hours ago he thought she had, but now, he was not so sure that was ever possible.
Still, he did not yet want to lose her and was not yet ready to give her up as a lost cause so he decided to let her off the hook and extend a peace offering. “I can see from your silence that we are not on the same page for where to go from here. I think you know by now how I feel about you and what I want to do, but I can tell that you are not ready for that just yet.” She did not say anything but a slight nod was all the sign he needed. He got out of the car and helped her bring her luggage inside her apartment. He kissed her briefly then said as he went to leave, “See you tomorrow on the train then?”
She seemed dazed for a second after the kiss then seemingly gathering herself as he turned to go she said very quietly, “I don’t think that’s a good idea Jeremy.”
Never had so softly a spoken sentence caused him so much shock he turned around and as what she said sunk in, he quite lost his head.
“Excuse me?” he said a little angered.
She blushed and repeated, “I don’t think seeing you again would be a good idea, for both of us.”
“What is that supposed to mean?!” Jeremy asked incredulous. She paled in the face of his anger but held her ground.
“It means just what I said I think continuing is a bad idea, I won’t say why and I don’t have to. We said from the beginning if one party felt it absolutely could not work then we would go our separate ways.” She said with a surprising amount of calm. “I can’t explain and I won’t,” her voice began to quiver as she saw the signs of anger and exasperation that must have flooded his face at her stubborn refusal to explain what he had done to deserve this. She stopped and he began to see signs of tears and her tone became much more pleading, “Please Jeremy, just go and leave me be, I just need you to go. If you’ve ever cared about me as you say you do just please let me go. It’s the best thing for both of us, nothing but pain can come from this, believe me.”
Jeremy was flabbergasted and in of anger he was sure to regret later he replied, “So I see you feel it’s easier to dismiss your feelings for me than take a risk at happiness, easier to not feel for me at all,” She was taken aback, but he continued as if he had not noticed her pain, “I understand. I felt I’ve been more than patient with you Alicia, but if you can’t date me because you might hurt me... If you don’t know by now that’s not possible, then I think it best we go our separate ways. At least until you figure out what you want, because it’s clearly not me or you’d give me a chance. So good bye.”
With that he slammed the door behind him and without giving her a chance to come after him headed out to his car and drove away, likely never to see her again.
Jeremy regretted what he said to her before he even got home. He knew he had blown it, he had done the very thing he swore not to do and lost his temper with her just when she needed it most. Of course the fact that she had so determinedly slammed the door on any future for them he felt made his actions somewhat justified. Still, he regretted doing what he did.
The next day’s train ride home was difficult. He didn’t seek her out and she clearly meant to follow through as he saw no sign of her either. As the week passed it both became easier and more unbearable an absence if that was possible. He settled back into his life without her, but the more he did the more it only drove home the feelings he had had for her that had caused such a passionate reply to her rejection. When he could not stand it anymore he went seeking for her to apologize, but found her nowhere on the train. Realizing she must have switched trains to avoid seeing him, his heart sank. He of course knew where she worked and lived but if she was so determined to avoid him as to switch her ...
