Back again, with my rotating co-host Naomi and we are talking about our shared loved for 90s R&B. We are definitely taking trips down memory lane with this one. We talk about our intro to the genre, some of our favorite artists and how this music shaped our childhood. Their is also a discussion about identity and how music gives us a sense of belonging. Also speaking of music wanted to give a quick shoutout to a new band I had discovered.

In this episode, I am joined once again by my rotating co-host Naomi. We are discussing Tyler Perry's 2018 film Acrimony, it details the marriage of Melinda and Robert. From their innocent beginnings to their bitter divorce and how a once promising couple could descend into obsession and rage. Who is at fault and who is justified? I've wanted to talk about this one since I was in college! Right at the age of 19-20, I got big into everything, Grunge. I am one of those fans who, if I get into something, I'll do anything I can to learn more about it. For me, that was me getting into grunge music. Grunge was a term to describe the alternative rock sound that started in the mid-1980s and rose to prominence in the early 90s. Four bands solidified this term much to their chagrin: Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana. I talk about each of these bands, their lasting legacies, and their influence on modern rock.
