Guys, this is seriously one of our favorite episodes with absolute magic towards the end of it! We love it and hope you will too. Extreme violence, a melting villain, and a whole lot of people-tossing....this movie is a giver.

-Anna takes a very easy PRO and gets a blast of a film to defend. Sorry bout ya luck, Katrina.

-Katrina reluctantly takes the CON and has to attack an extremely entertaining action movie, and she ain’t happy about it.

**Spoiler warning: Anna flat out spoils the big reveal of the 90’s TV show, Twin Peaks in this episode. She would apologize but that show is 30 years old, so maybe you should look within for who’s really at fault here.

This week's episode we talk about the 1998 anti-hero movie, Blade.
The incredible Wesley Snipes plays the titular vampire vampire-hunter, and if you don't think we giggled at the word titular, you must be new here. Welcome!
-ANNA is ready to attack a movie she truly adores. And by ready, I mean forced. Despite her reluctance, she does have a few questions for Katrina:
Are vampires really so bad? Is it weird some of them can avoid exploding with sunblock? Why do they love rubber duckies?
-KATRINA has her trusty notebook filled with interesting trivia and an unquenchable thirst for most of the cast. Will she let any of Anna's attacks sully this movie? You'll have to listen to find out...

Hey it's a 4/20 release, everybody! Sure you could spend the day watching one of the dozens of movies about getting high...but have you considered watching a children's movie about cartoon bears fighting a pissed off, shape-shifting, red-headed demon by just staring at it instead?
KATRINA defends this adorable, childhood favorite against Anna's unrelenting criticisms and questions whether or not Anna could benefit from some bear stares.
ANNA is determined to walk away from this episode the Camp Champ and she comes in hot with her attacks.

Whoa, a Super Troopers episode?! I'm freaking out, man! This 2001 comedy from Broken Lizard is about as good as it gets, and Anna is ready to prove it.
Shockingly, margaritas once again lead to bad accents, mistaken celebrity deaths, and this time Katrina defending the honor of a fake bear...this one gets real stupid; you're gonna love it.
-ANNA steps in as the PRO and she's locked and loaded with tons of trivia and quotes.
You may notice she says Jay Chandrasekhar's name a whole bunch in this and that's because she's committed to accuracy. And also because it's the only name she practiced beforehand.
-KATRINA wants you to know she really, really tried to come up with good attacks and not ALL of them are dumpster material. And all animals deserve our support. Even fake, stuffed, costume ones.

In this episode, we discuss the awesome 1986 "slasher" flick: April Fool's Day. This movie has everything--a clever premise, the amazing Deborah Foreman, a creepy winking Jack in the Box...everything.
*If you haven't watched the movie and don't want the ending spoiled, check it out and then come back and listen to the episode.
-ANNA defends this truly unique 80's horror movie. Does it still hold up? She certainly thinks so and wants you to know why. Spoiler alert: because it's rad.
-KATRINA attacks this time and finds it wasn't particularly difficult arguing against a Jack in the Box, a skeevy character, and 80's era homophobia.

Hey!! Who wants to be able to perform complex facial reconstruction surgeries without going to medical school??!! To quote the hot European lady from Super Troopers, "I do, I do!!!". Better yet, what if we said we have an episode about a movie that is so cuckoo bananas it needed not ONE, but TWO action stars? Enter dancing queen himself Sir John Travolta and "nepotism makes me sick but the Godfather is still a classic" Nicolas Cage. Please enjoy our equally cuckoo bananas recap of 1997's Face Off!
ANNA is the pro-and in addition to some kick ass trivia, she also brings sass, tequila, trickery, and a touch more tequila. Will this lethal combination be enough to carve, heh, heh, a button push from Katrina?
KATRINA is the con-and while she feels confident that the pure silliness of this movie in combination with her steadfast resolve to not enjoy Nicolas Cage movies since Leaving Las Vegas should make it easy to avoid a button push, she DOES love dancing, and you know that sly fox Travolta can't help but sneak a booty shake in.

🎶🎶Have you..been dreaming..of an episode..with two movies in it?🎶🎶 Well do we have the episode for you! When two tequila tipsy sisters can't decide between two beloved animated Christmas classics what else can they do but do neither of them?! That can't be right. Damn tequila. They do both, that's it! And there's a twist! This week we bring you 1964's Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and 1965's A Charlie Brown Christmas!!
This week Anna and Katrina are both the Pro and the Con. How can this be you ask? Is it a Christmas miracle? Sort of.
KATRINA is the Pro on that galloping ruby snooted reindeer, and Anna better come with more than criticisms about the beautiful sound that comes from Rudolph's sniffer when he takes flight. Hooooooooooonk!!!!!!
ANNA is the Pro for the peanuts gang, and is hopeful that between a play where none of the cast is off book and a tree that is more eek than oooooohhhh can help Charlie get his yuletide groove back.

Welcome to the weird and wonderful and fantastical world of Terry Gilliam! The sisters delve into their VHS vault and discuss a childhood movie they watched a billion and a half times, 1981's Time Bandits. Starring (among others) John Cleese, Shelley Duvall, Kenny Baker, Craig Warnock, and the late, amazing David Warner
ANNA- has a whole lot to say about this movie is ready for any and all of Katrina's lame attacks. Pathetic attacks, really.
KATRINA- is also ready with some very good, very valid critiques. Also...lame and pathetic, Anna?! Honestly.

What happens when Katrina and Anna's brother convinced them to play a drinking game to the 1996 movie, Twister? Well, you're about to find out because it was a doozy. Stay til the end, folks. You don't want to miss this!

-KATRINA brings tons of great trivia about this movie to the table and refuses to be swayed by Anna's low hanging fruit attacks.

-ANNA brings a quickly emptied bottle of tequila to the table and tries her best to destroy a beloved movie and also stay upright.

If something is happy the first time, isn't it happier the 2nd time? Us twice married people think so (Katrina, that is), so we thought, "Hey us, why don't we try re-recording an episode that people seem to love, and put that theory to the test?"! Except this time Katrina is the pro, and Anna is the con! Genius! Get ready for the swashbuckling romp that is 1982's The Pirate Movie!
Kristy McNichol and Christopher Atkins in Australia doing a "modern" take on the Gilbert and Sullivan opera, The Pirate of Penzance...what exactly is there not to love???
This award-winning film (Nominated for nine Razzies and winner of three) has been described by critics as "unwatchable" and "excruciating" and "literally painful to get through" and is a personal favorite of the Split Happens sisters. If you'd like to see it before you listen to the episode, it's conveniently located exclusively on YouTube.
