#004_What Elephants, Guard Dogs and other Animals have to do with Children's Mental Health_A Meaningful Conversation with Kristina Freeman
03/21/21 • 63 min
I sat down with Kristina Freeman from Grow your Mind @growyourmind.life to talk all things mental health and wellbeing for children.
In this episode we are talking about about mental health and wellbeing in children. We're talking about why it is so important to educate and teach our children from a very young age to talk about their feelings and emotions. We are talking about how we can best do this and how our children can teach us a thing or two in return. And you will find out what elephants, guard dogs and other animals have to do with it all.
Kristina has a deep understanding and knowledge of how to talk to children about mental health and wellbeing. Kristina has also co-developed tools on how to teach children the right strategies to build resilience.
I really hope that this conversation is inspiring you to talk to your children openly and honestly about those topics and to open up the conversation in your home even though it isn't always easy to do. Don't be scared of it, step into this space and remember that you are doing it to give your children the best possible way to deal with potential mental health and wellbeing issues that they might cross paths with in their life. Start teaching them from a very early age how to deal with their emotions, how to deal with their feelings and how to build resilience and practice tools to get out of challenging times.
This is such an incredibly important conversation to have. We can all do our bit to raise our next generation to be able to talk about mental health and wellbeing the way we talk about physical wellbeing. Imagine a generation where it is normal to be vulnerable, honest and open about the struggles that most people go through at some point in their lives.
I also hope that this episode inspires you to start showing vulnerability and openness. If we are confident to step into that space, our children will feel far more inclined to do so as well.
I hope you enjoy listening to this episode. Please subscribe to my Podcast and please share it with your family, your friends and anyone who you think may benefit from this information.

#003: Remembering Nature
I sat down with David Pointon to talk all things nature.
In this episode we are talking about how we are all profoundly connected with nature and how it effects us physically as well as mentally and emotionally. We are talking about our relationship with nature, our unique ways of being connected to it, why people think they may have lost their connection to nature and how we can regain this beautiful relationship that should come very natural to all of us.
We are also diving into David’s unique experience of going to India for 6 months and how spending time in nature - and having some profound spiritual experiences - has helped him work on his inner nature as well.
This is such an open, honest and raw conversation and David brings so much wisdom and knowledge to the table. I hope that you will be able to take away a few key points of wisdom for your own life and how you can support your relationship with nature.

#005_About Consciousness and the Next Phase of Human Evolution_A Meaningful Conversation with Sara de Clercq
#005: About Consciousness and the Next Phase of Human Evolution
I sat down with Sara de Clercq from YES& to talk all things consciousness and the next level of human evolution.
In this episode we are talking about integral theory & coaching, the ins and outs of the stages of consciousness by Ken Wilber, both from an individual as well as a collective point of view, the levels of development and the difference between growing up and waking up in human evolution for a a regenerative human presence on this planet.
We are talking about how the re-framing of challenges into opportunities can help us to learn from those moments and grow as a person. We are discussing how the more self work we do, the less conditioning our children will bring into this world, why it is so important to live life in the present and why we should all strive to live our own truth.
Sara is such a beautiful human and she holds an incredible amount of depth and knowledge across so many areas in this realm.
I really hope that this conversation will inspire you to explore your own consciousness, where you are currently sitting and if, where you would like to actively grow to in this life?
This is an incredibly deep and at times complex conversation. I certainly walked out of my time with Sara with a better understanding of myself and others and I hope this episode will support you to do the same.
Imagine a kinder world, one where we see everyone and everything as alive and evolving, where love and joy are the feelings that prevail.
