Podcast Q&A

Why did you start this show?

We made this podcast to make finding out what is happening in our towns fun and engaging--short, sweet, and funny. We make this podcast for people who live in our towns, but also people who live in the surrounding areas to come visit.

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

We hope that people find out about events they didn't know about and find out more information about events they have heard about. We also hope people have as much fun listening to us as we have recording.

Which episode should someone start with?

Because we are recapping the previous week and talking about the upcoming week, there's no wrong place to jump in.

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

There have been quite a few, but recently, May 4th and May 25th stand out in my mind.

Which episode are you most proud of?

We interviewed Stephane Wrembel and that was an honor and a blast. Stephane is a world-renowned gypsy jazz guitarist who produces Django Fest in our town every year. That was a special episode.

What is your vision for your show?

To continue to do our weekly shows but more relevant interviews and bonus content.

What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?

We have too many to list. Right now, I'm listening to a lot of Javier Leiva - the Pretend Podcast, Criminal Conduct, and the Ponzi Playbook.

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

Maplewood and South Orange are sister towns commonly known as SOMA or MAPSO. Why choose when we can just be one big SOMAPSO?

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm passionate about promoting artists and events.
