Solo Travel Adventures: Safe Travel for Women, Preparing for a Trip, Overcoming Fear, Travel Tips
01/30/24 • 9 min
Many women have expressed to me how they struggle with the courage to go on a solo trip. "Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear" Theodore Roosevelt.
Three Tactics to Develop Courage and Push past your fears.
1) Take action
2) Face your fears-big and small
3) Do something that scares you every week to develop the muscle of "courage".

Worried About Getting Sick While Traveling? How To Stay Healthy On Your Trip
Solo Travel Adventures: Safe Travel for Women, Preparing for a Trip, Overcoming Fear, Travel Tips
01/23/24 • 11 min
Being sick is no fun. But being sick in a foreign country away from the comforts of your home can feel worse.
Staying healthy while traveling actually begins beforehand by building up your immune system.
1) Reduce your stress
2) Make sure you are well rested beforehand and get adequate sleep while traveling too.
3) Hydrate- before and during your trip, especially if you will be consuming alcohol.
4) Watch what you eat-before and even maybe while on your trip. If you have allergies, get them under control beforehand and take any medications needed.
5) Purchase travel insurance.
I also use Airborne and vitamin C for immune support, before and during travels.

Concerned About Feeling Safe While Traveling? 3 Criteria To Determine Where to Go
Solo Travel Adventures: Safe Travel for Women, Preparing for a Trip, Overcoming Fear, Travel Tips
01/16/24 • 11 min
Safety as a solo traveling woman should always be on our minds, even during the planning stages.
In Episode 12, I offer 10 Safe countries that are safe for solo female travelers.
https://www.buzzsprout.com/2048349/12058242
Consider these 3 criteria before picking a destination, especially as a new solo traveler.
1) Go to a place where they speak your native language. You will have one less barrier and found yourself less anxious because you are able to communicate with others easily.
2) Go on a road trip. I feel more confident when i take a road trip because it's my vehicle, I can take what I need (packing-wise) and even leave a place if I don't feel safe.
3) Go where there are lots of people. Traveling to a remote area can be challenging and create anxiety. When your destination is a populated area, you can feel safer as there are more people to maybe ask directions or questions.

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS: 1) Get gas before driving into the park. 2) Bring enough supplies of water and food or camping needs. 3) Get a paper map of the park because GPS will not work in many places of the park.

7 Airport Travel Hacks You Can Use Now
Solo Travel Adventures: Safe Travel for Women, Preparing for a Trip, Overcoming Fear, Travel Tips
11/21/23 • 8 min
Everyone loves "hacks" whether for travel or general life hacks to make our lives easier.
These 7 airport travel hacks will save you time, money and reduce your stress.
1) Get TSA Pre-check status or Global Entry to save time during security check. Lines are shorter, you move through the process quicker and you don't have to remove your shoes.
2) Take an early morning flight. The first flights out are less likely to be cancelled or delayed, plus they experience less turbulence.
3) Take a picture of where you parked if you drive to the airport.
4) Take an empty water bottle. Saves you money from buying bottled water at the airport and no time wasted standing in line either.
5) Check the status of your flight before you leave for the airport in case it is delayed or cancelled.
6) Sign up for lounge access.
7) Place a designating item on your luggage, like a sticker, ribbon or scarf on the handle, especially if you have a basic color suitcase like everyone else.

Which Traveler Are You? Exploring Six Distinct Travel Personalities
Solo Travel Adventures: Safe Travel for Women, Preparing for a Trip, Overcoming Fear, Travel Tips
05/13/25 • 16 min
What kind of traveler are you at heart? Do you pinch pennies to extend your journey, or do you splurge on luxury experiences? Are you drawn to cultural immersion, or do you crave heart-pounding adventure?
We all have natural tendencies that shape our travel experiences, yet many of us try to force ourselves into travel styles that don't authentically reflect who we are. In this eye-opening exploration of travel personalities, we break down six distinct traveler types - from the budget-conscious backpacker to the comfort-seeking luxury traveler, the thrill-seeking adventurer to the history-loving cultural enthusiast, the unhurried slow traveler to the freedom-chasing road tripper.
Each travel style comes with recommended destinations and valuable resources to help you embrace your authentic travel self. The budget traveler might thrive in Thailand or Vietnam, utilizing apps like Going to score affordable flights. Luxury travelers might set their sights on Dubai or an upscale African safari. Adventure seekers could plan expeditions to Iceland's glaciers or Patagonia's rugged terrain, while cultural enthusiasts might immerse themselves in Italy's art scene or Scotland's rich history.
Your travel style isn't a fixed identity - it can evolve with life's seasons or adjust when traveling with companions. What matters most is recognizing and honoring your true preferences rather than forcing yourself to travel like someone else. When you align your journeys with your authentic self, travel becomes not just enjoyable but transformative.
