It's time to grab that infused tea and listen to another episode of Smoking Out the Closet. Before the episode description we wanted to make a note on something that we forgot in recording and editing. The Respect for Marriage Act is a good thing, but it isn't enough. There are so many people who are on disability and have their coverages and benefits taken away the moment they marry someone. Most of the time this makes it harder on them than the government realizes. In their eyes since the person with a disability is married that the funds for everything they need are going to be automatically applied to them via their partner's income or work based insurance. We know that this is simply not the case and should be addressed. In this week's episode Alex and Rayven talk about the Respect for Marriage Act, Bomb scares in Pittsburgh based gays bars, tips for coming out, and how Multi-State Operators (MSO) in cannabis are not our friends.
