Tell us about yourself – what is your background?
We are Alex and Rayven, co-hosts of Smoking Out the Closet. We both work in the cannabis industry and are in the LGBTQIA+ community. Alex uses they/them pronouns and Rayven uses she/her pronouns.
Why did you get into podcasting?
We thought it be a cool thing to do. Plus we always have really cool conversations especially in the car.
How did the idea for the show come about?
We wanted to talk about the massively underrepresented group of the lgbtqia+ people that use cannabis.
What do you hope listeners take from the show?
They learn about cannabis, and the lgbtqia+
What's been the biggest challenge for you?
Having people recognizing lgbtqia+ cannabis users/ advocates.
