Dr. Jan Dutz is a professor of medicine and the current head of dermatology at the university of British Columbia. . He is a Senior Scientist with the Child and Family Research Institute (CFRI) where his research focus is the skin immune system and the manipulation of this system to both promote immune responses and induce tolerance.
Dr.Dutz is one of the few physicians in North America to be board certified and maintain active practice in both rheumatology and dermatology. And he is a Senior Scientist with the Child and Family Research Institute (CFRI) where his research focus is the skin immune system and the manipulation of this system to both promote immune responses and induce tolerance.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss appropriate screening strategies for patients with moderate to severe psoriasis suspected of psoriatic arthritis and the patient journey
- Understand current evidence and practical real world clinical implications for validated PsA screening tools as well as barriers and opportunities for implementation
- Implement strategies to improve multidisciplinary care coordination between primary care providers and specialty care providers and address the needs of patients

About Dr.Elena Netchiporouk, MD, M.Sc., FRCPC
Dermatologist, Montreal
Dr. Elena Netchiporouk is an Assistant Professor and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in Dermatology at McGill University. She earned her M.D. degree at Université de Montréal and dermatology residency training at the McGill University Health Centre with an Experimental Medicine M.Sc. degree from McGill University.
Elena is a Junior Scientist within the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program of the MUHC-Research Institute studying cutaneous autoimmunity, scleroderma and chronic urticaria. She leads a complex care, skin fibrosis and chronic urticaria clinics at the Montreal General Hospital Site of the MUHC.
Her research program is supported by several grants from the Canadian Dermatology Foundation, Association des Médecins Spécialistes Dermatologues du Québec, Department of Medicine (McGill University) and Ministère d’Éducation et Innovation du Québec. She is actively involved in Dermatology Residency Training Program and is the founder of the Interactive Dermatology Learning Platform for Dermatology residents and Primary Care Providers Montreal Derm FilEZ© (Montrealdermfilez.ca) set to launch this year.

Dr.Perla Lansang is head of dermatology at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario and is an assistant professor in the Division of Dermatology, University of Toronto. She has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent dermatology, having done two years of fellowship in paediatric dermatology at The Hospital for Sick Children.
