Six Degrees of WTF
Erin kicks this episode off with a two-fer. First she discusses the disappearances of Mitchel Weiser and Bonnie Bickwit who went missing in the early 1970s while traveling to a music festival. She then covers the unsolved murders of Heidi Childs and David Metzler.
After the break, O'Dell covers the strange disappearances and alleged paranormal phenomena that has occurred around Oregon's Crater Lake National Park. Erin shares a WTF story about a woman in the early 1900s who should have reconsidered her scarf choice before she went out for a drive and then we close things out with a few hilarious Amazon reviews.

(Bonus) Doc Watch #32: What Haunts Us

This time around we watched and discuss the documentary, "What Haunts Us" which is available on Amazon Prime in the US. The synopsis reads:

The 1979 class of Porter Gaud School in Charleston, S.C., graduated 49 boys. Within the last 35 years, six of them have committed suicide. When Paige Goldberg Tolmach gets word that another former student from her beloved high school has killed himself, she decides to take a deep dive into her past to uncover the surprising truth and finally release the ghosts that haunt her hometown to this day.

This was a quick watch (it's just barely over an hour), but garners a lot of good discussion between us about our own experiences in high school.

(Bonus) Members-only #35: Fatal Attraction?

The 1980s and 90s were rife with crazy true crime cases - many of which were constantly plastered across the covers of tabloid magazines. In 1989, Carolyn Warmus - a school teacher from New York state - was accused of killing a fellow teacher's wife. According to the teacher, he and Carolyn had been having an affair, she had become obsessed and had shot his wife so she could have him. According to Carolyn, she was framed for the murder. This is a twisty, turny one, and we gotta say, we think we're on Carolyn's side here.
