The Ooku Delulu Solulu ft. Shoujo Scholar (Ooku: The Inner Chambers Eps 4-6)

In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Giana, Chika, and Rachel the Shoujo Scholar review episodes four through six of Ooku: The Inner Chambers. In episode four, you can tell by the tone of our Floats Your Boat that this episode was going to hurt us deeply. Waka Murasaki meets a terrible fate, forcing Giana to hate Gyokuei with no hope for redemption. Rachel points out the interesting role reversal between Arikoto and Iemitsu. In episode five, Arikoto provides the ultimate fan service for bi individuals everywhere. Chika makes an interesting connection between Arikoto’s switch in devotion from Buddha to Iemitsu with cults. The question is raised: Why hasn’t Iemitsu simply killed Kasuga? Iemitsu’s painful past stirs up empathy for her. In episode six, Kasuga’s state of health brightens everyone’s spirits. Sutezo’s arrival shakes things up for Arikoto and Iemitsu.
