Who am I?
Shoujo Sundae is a delectable podcast safe haven for fans of shoujo [or shojo] anime and manga. If you have a strong love for shoujo, but no place or people to talk about it with, welcome to your new favorite ice cream parlor. Your hosts, Giana Luna and Chika Supreme, invite you to come get a scoop and add as many sprinkles as your heart desires! Each episode of anime is broken down into categories such as A Soft Serve Summary, Sprinkles on Top, Floats Your Boat, Banana Split, Hot Fudge, and I Scream, You Scream, giving you space to reflect on the symbolism, positive/negative aspects, and your hot takes of each show they review. People that crave more shoujo will certainly find community through Shoujo Sundae, kinship through its hosts, and sweet, sweet empowerment through its conversation. New episodes every other Sunday. Let’s dig in! Giana and Chika love shoujo anime & manga. We have been fans of it since watching Sailor Moon in the 90s. Since the shoujo demographic caters to girls specifically, we wanted to highlight shoujo media for other people who were interested in the same demographic as we are. There are so many shounen (media catering to boys) podcasts out there, that we wanted to set ourselves apart by catering to people like us.

1. Shojo & Tell: A Manga Podcast
Why this podcast?
The first shojo podcast we ever listened to was Shojo & Tell in 2018. Ashley does an amazing job going over shojo manga for listeners and inviting people to ask questions that she delves deeper into as an episode progresses. We had the honor of being guests on Shojo & Tell to talk about Alice 19th by Yuu Watase. We highly recommend subscribing to Ashley's podcast.
Shojo & Tell: A Manga Podcast
Ashley McDonnell

A manga discussion podcast focusing on shojo (and josei!) series that make your heart go doki-doki. Covering classics like CLAMP’s “Cardcaptor Sakura” and Yuu Watase’s “Fushigi Yuugi” to newer favorites like Kazune Kawahara’s “My Love Story!!” and Hiro Fujiwara’s “Maid Sama!” Shojo & Tell host Ashley McDonnell discusses one series per episode with a rotating shojo superfan. We're recreating all those impassioned rants you'd have with your friends about your favorite series, just in podcast form. Shojo [or shoujo] manga: Japanese comics made for young women. A breath of fresh air after reading over 100 volumes of “One Piece.” The underappreciated sibling of all those same-y never-ending shonen titles.
