Well, well. Here we are 20 episodes into this juicy podcast journey and this week we chat all about what it is to be SEX-POSITIVE.
We are super proud of our co-host Kitty this week as she shares her “What’s Hot”. She has just had an interview released by a local TV production who have put together a project advocating for sexual wellness. She is part of a small group of practitioners within the sexuality space that have shared their messages to help normalise these conversations and offer support and guidance to those who need it.
Johnson & Kitty speak into the history of this sex positive movement we are all balls DEEP in and describe how being sex-positive is a mind-set. It is a way of living that recognises and appreciates all people as sexual beings. It is an attitude that is free from judgement towards yourself or others and that breaks down the stigma around sexuality in society.
Being sex-positive isn’t about ticking off items on a bucket list (although it may be part of it) but it is more about being authentically yourself and accepting others as they are too. Whether you are obsessed with vanilla sex, asexual or into BDSM- it makes no difference. As long as you are choosing your truth and explorations for the right reasons.
Kitty & Johnson recognise each and every one of the SWME podcast listeners as part of this sex-positive culture which is much needed in society. They believe there has been too much shame for too long in this space which has had a devastating impact on so many people.
Johnson also shares some information that hasn’t been public knowledge - UNTIL NOW! in the hope that it might help others out there on their journey.
