Ep.007 - Johnson’s Jellymaker With (Not For) Kelly Gordon
Welcome to the Sex With My Ex podcast!
TRIGGER WARNING: This week’s episode mentions mental health and self harm.

We are delighted to have Kelly Gordon on this week’s episode.
Kelly is a 33 year old entrepreneur and consultant based in the UK. She has Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 3, a genetic disability, meaning that she uses an electric wheelchair to get around. Kelly’s condition is progressive and has meant that she has faced losing her ability throughout her life.
From a young age Kelly was outspoken and never let anyone dictate what her disability meant or allowed her to do.
Kelly’s current projects span from recruitment to working for forward thinking sex toy brand ‘Hot Octopuss’.
She also works as a presenter and is the current host of Hot Octopuss’s brand podcast Pleasure Rebels.
She has also worked on projects for the BBC, Channel 4 and Virgin Media.
Kelly has also co-founded the business "With Not For” with Emma Gardner.
Kelly is a great sport and gets in amongst it during ‘Hot or Not’, where we discuss dental woes, vibrators for Egypt and pesky dribbles (amongst other things).
We discuss owning your truth, staying safe and using sexual encounters to deal with self-confidence when disabled - all on the journey to Kelly’s sexual liberation.
Kelly explains how she has owned her body and disability as an adult and had a great response once she did that when going back to dating.
We discuss her work at forward-thinking and inclusive sex-tech company ‘Hot Octopuss’ - a job she adores!
She explains that Adam, their co-founder and CEO, has designed several of their toys based on his own needs and desires. (Link below)
Johnson takes it upon himself to pitch Kelly the Jellymaker - the end result... Watch out for Hot Octopuss’s International Johnson Day (perhaps even some temporary rebranding for the day)!
As the conversation turns towards Men’s Mental Health, Kelly’s dear friend Tom is remembered. We of course send Big Love to all those affected by a very sad tragedy.
Kelly has a project coming up, somewhat in his honour, so we will be sharing those details with you all!
We adore our listener feedback section as always - giving out 6 extra entries to our Yoni Pleasure Palace Giveaway!! (Be sure to follow us on Instagram and subscribe to our newsletter to enter!)
The perfect conclusion is reached as Kelly preaches owning your truth, embracing the journey and ‘just doing it’.
We thought deeply, there were tears and we laughed so hard!
It was a blessing to hang out with such an inspirational woman! Thanks Kelly! x

Ep.009 - #MakeDickScarceAgain With Layla London (Curious Girl Diaries)
Welcome to the Sex With My Ex podcast!
Your hosts are Kitty and Johnson, and we can’t wait to dive head first into all of the delicious, intriguing, funny and fun things that are sex.
And DELICIOUS this episode is!
This week we are joined by the scrumptious Layla London who is the badass, vixen creator of The Curious Girl Diaries.
Layla has been documenting her sexual explorations, initially through a blog, and now with her podcast.
After 3 and a half years of unintentionally being celibate Layla had a holy-f***-moment and realised that she had been neglecting an aspect of her own wellbeing by not making time for her sexuality.
So, being a “Type A person” (as she describes herself) she made it a priority and created a Sexual Bucket List- Or F***et List as we like to call it.
Within two weeks she was already ticking off things from that list and shares with us some of the growth and experiences since then that have added massively to her own self-discovery.
This Episode is fun, fun, fun!
Kitty, Johnson and Layla start off with a bang in the “What’s Hot and What’s Not?” segment.
We go off on a tangent speaking about grooming, hand jobs, unsolicited dick pics (#makedicksscarceagain) and the sexiness of the New Zealand accent.
Layla shares about the decision she made to explore herself through her sexuality and speaks into the initial fear around who she would become during the process of stepping into unchartered territory. Prior to creating the Bucket List she had experienced predominantly vanilla style sex (which is absolutely gorgeous and there is nothing at all wrong with it) and wanted to expand further into kink, multiple partners etc.
She had planned to commit to a year and set the intention it would be fun and exploratory. She discovered so much more in the journey about the importance of our sexuality, of connection and of healthy curiosity in sex.
She speaks into the importance of honest and open communication and true knowing of your own wants and desires in intimacy. This message continues to be reiterated throughout the Sex with My Ex podcast and we love how Layla shares it too.
This relates to everyone- whether or not you’re in partnership, single, in open relationships - authentic and clear communication is a pillar!
Layla also shares about the beautiful connections she has had with men over this time and the importance of presence within the connection and acts of sex.
Being outside of traditional relationships she learnt to fully enjoy the experiences without attachment to future outcomes.
Within this conversation Johnson brings up a great reflection around the difference between sexuality/sexual energy and sex. The difference being that sexuality is an energy that is present and sex is the acting on those desires.
Kitty, Johnson and Layla all share their experiences of finding deep connection and pleasure outside of the traditional (more accepted) version of a relationship.
We are big advocates for knowing that monogamous relationships work perfectly for so many people. However, we believe it is an important conversation to share; that there are many people who don’t align with that. We hope that we are creating an accepting and judgement-free space for these discussions.
Ahhh enjoy this episode, folks!! There is so much juiciness!
PLUS Johnson launches two surprises on Kitty!!
