Serenitypoetry
On A cold winters night would you run for your life, from the howling wolves of winter... Few animals capture people’s imagination quite like the wolf. For thousands of years, the wolf has fascinated us, frightened us, and drawn us in. Perhaps it’s because there’s a part of us that identifies with that wild, untamed spirit we see in the wolf. The wolf has found its roots in folklore in myths, legends and creation stories from the Indigenous peoples of North American, all the way back to the founding of Roman Civilization. Beyond here there is no map... fairy paths connected the various places fairies were believed to haunt. The belief in fairy paths in Ireland was so strong that people who suffered from illness or misfortune, were said to live in the way of fairy paths. The Inuksuk is a symbol with deep roots in the Inuit culture, a directional marker that signify safety, hope, and friendship. Let's head out down the path together dear listener, and as Philip Booth, so poetically said; Many paths will intersect our journey along the way.... perhaps an Inuksuk will help guide our way, however; let's be sure to steer clear of any fairy paths along the way, just to be safe.....
